    She has very black eye's
and a nice white belly, Her color is not to describe so dark is she.

Looks nothing like a cinnamon to me, just a dark normal.

Interesting. Get some babies and see if any look like her. If she turns out to be genetic and co-dominant no telling what the homozygous version would look like. On the other hand I've heard that cold incubated eggs might produce dark babies but the belly border stripe gives some more hope that simple genetic. Worth trying anyway, especially with a female.

Here is a dark girl I’m trying to breed back to one of her sons this year just in case even though I’m not overly optimistic about her being genetic.

Definately not a cinnamon. I dont work with black pastels but she does have some nice floaty patterns on her sides. At this point she is just a dinker but when she lays eggs and they hatch look for any that look just like her and hold those back for future breeding. It may take a few years to prove if she is anything but its always fun working with dinkers. The thing that makes me say she "might" have something going on is the belly. The railroad tracks on the back half of her belly and the fact that she doesnt have markings going through the belly scales could be a sign of something. All the dusting on the belly and lower face is interesting too.

Just keep us updated and post pics when she lays and then when the babies are out. She is very pretty. I like the darker ones.

Id say dark normal. Her head doesnt look right for a cinny. The cinny head is more brown. Black pastels have the squigly lines around the alien eyes and I dont see those. Her tail does have the het pied marker, so I would try breeding her to a het pied male or even better a pied male.

Agreed, I am going to say in my opinion just a nice Dark Normal. Black Pastels usually have the "Squigly lines around the spots in the alien heads. Cinnys the Head is usuall browned out and the Eyestripes are usually faded. Both usually have some nice blushing coming up the sides.
She does have nice railroad tracks under her tail so I would also say try breeding with Pied or het Pied

I've seen a few IMG balls like that (Increased Melanin Gene, the black usually is acquired as the snake ages similar to an amazon tree boa's pattern emerging)

I dont know if any ever proved out though

    Opinion.

And it is still debatable. Find a geneticist who will work on this and we will have our true answer, until then its speculation, on EVERYONE's part.

Could pass for a black pastel, I have seen some that don't have much evidence of the "Squiggles."

Personally, based on darkness and belly markings, my first attempt at proving her would be with a Pied male...just to get that possiblity out of the way. I have some very nice 100% het pieds from Bob Clark and Ron Crawford that look just like that (and have proved out).
