http://i876.photobucket.com/albums/a...0305001223.jpg was wondering if i should get the incubator or if i should keep pairing my males up.
Re: Seen this and was wondering???
Looks like building, there is no mistaking an ovulation.
Re: Seen this and was wondering???
I dont know about breeding yet... and sorry out of context but she looks exactly like my normal from the top?
Re: Seen this and was wondering???
yea its a bad picture once she lays eggs ill get belly shots thats where you can really see it. i got her paired up with a pastel yellow belly.
Re: Seen this and was wondering???
Sweet! Rooting for Pastel Ivorys!
Re: Seen this and was wondering???
If i hatch any ivories or pastel ivories i will more then likely hold them back for other projects.
Re: Seen this and was wondering???
just thought of a question and didnt get back in time to edit... my question is should i keep pairing or stop??
Re: Seen this and was wondering???
Re: Seen this and was wondering???
ok was just wondering since shes on her 3 days of rest period its her second day of rest so should i throw him in tomorrow or wait the next day
Re: Seen this and was wondering???
if she is developing follys why keep pairing? i thought that once they devlop then further breeding is a "waste" since sperm is no longer implanted into the eggs... just thought thats how it went...
Re: Seen this and was wondering???
I do 3 days on 1 day off... just me though donno bout any one else..
Re: Seen this and was wondering???
thats what i thought but everything i doesn't specify i figured to stop breeding too but i guess one more pairing won't hurt just will have to keep my eyes on everything closer

Follicles can be re-absorbed. Its not until Ovulation that the follicles become fertilized by the sperm. So keep pairing until Ovulation, or she rejects him. :gj:
Re: Seen this and was wondering???
Been very confused with my axanthic female, she looks like she is building, then went in to a shed that lasted 2 days! put the male back in the girl was zooming around her tub tail lifting, drumming her tail against the sides of her tub & sitting on top of the male..he wasnt intrested, he shed yesterday & within an hour they were locked..still locked today..weird creatures, dont have a clue as to whats happening with her now..think she just likes nookie ..bang goes my theory on her ovulating :)

Females will still lock up when in a deep shed, but males will not. If she is still acting like she is interested odds are she has not ovulated yet.

Thanks..have to agree I think..bummer :)
Pied female is refusing to mate , very lumpy looking & bowl wrapping at the moment, none of the females are feeding..your thoughts appreciated, this is my first attempt at breeding ;)
Meant to add the axanthic was in blue on Sunday night, come Tuesday morning she had shed ( unusual usually takes 5-7 days ) do you think this could be a pre ovulation shed

I have a very timid male that I have yet to see lock up, and then I have males that before I let go of them when placing them in the tub get straight down to business.
Everyone is different, I generally just give the males time when they are blue.
