Re: fire related question
I dont have a fire so I cant say much, but I know they are supouse to have a spot/mark in their heads. Look through other fire pictures, you can probably see it. I see it.

Re: fire related question
lol then I will be s.o.l. al my life since the fires all apear to look like pastel too me. I know the head does havea lighter look to it than a normal and I got another one with a really light head. I also have pastel if I compare the pictures( mental image right now since i need to take some pics of him.) that in my book all look the same. I do know that the snake in question is lighter than most the normal snake ( that are older and such.)
I need to get better with this morph ID ing part lol.. I know visible stuff like pied the albinos ( even if i not seen a cameral yet in person) young anacthics and I such it the stuff lik fire, ecchis, ( i may be able to id an tiger ball) but i need to look at the almost normal looking morphs so I can learn to pick out the morph. I only can tell a pastel by comapiring it to a normal ( it an older pastel)..
head shor of the snake that a possible fire

Re: fire related question
That seems pretty dark for a fire. Most likely a normal.
Re: fire related question
if you looks, it has some white, orange spots on its drosal striping, witch iv never seen on a normal. just like my black pastel:O

Re: fire related question
I hate to say it, but she looks like a normal. :gj:
Re: fire related question
lol she may be I know my photo skills suck really bad.. I will try to get a picture of it against the pastel I received and a norma; ( who to mee really rak all the time) note they are all gonig though qt again since I took the 2 to the show. I may end up QT the entire collection since it about time to do a preventive treatment to the room again all bugs and mom not wanting the snakes in the living room due to a friend that comes over scared of snakes.
Re: fire related question
Photo skills or not, fires are VERY VERY light and bright. That female looks like a average colored normal. Spots near the nose are not markers for fires, they are markers for spotnose, and your female doesn't have the head spot that spotnoses have either.
If you believe her to be a fire/het BlkEL then get a fire male and breed that to her and you will know for sure. :gj:
Re: fire related question
not really worried either way lol to me a fire looks like a pastel, when I compare the pics to the one I gotten. but heck either wayhe snake in better hands now lol. and she will be here a long time.. Now if the guy I gotte nmy patesl still interestedin the redtail I may look into trading (or credit ) to a spider or somethign else nice since the boas about 20+ lbs and every bit of 6+ ft long and still tame unless your a furball type mammal.
Re: fire related question
Do fires have clear bellies? I don't remember.
But if they do, that could be a good indicator.
Re: fire related question
could it possibly just be a 'paradox' normal?
