Attn everyone... Opionions wanted please!!

So, I now have both of my ball pythons eating, the male is still on and off due to breeding season.. but hes not losing weight or anything. I am also coming close to my 16th birthday, i know im young, but I guarantee to you that im not irresponsible at all. I am in fact looking for another ball python. I wont be able to get anything for another 2 months, almost 3, but I was curious what morph you guys think would work, or thats not really expensive. Im running off my own budget. I have a job, and I will get money from my birthday, so im thinking around $700 at the most is what I will be capable of spending. I have seen LOW white pieds go for $600 at shows, and Genetic Stripes go for $400, broken stripes, but still good looking. Those are 2 morphs im thinking of, on top of possibly getting a Bredli. I have a friend that supplies roaches to the store I work at, and he has a pair of Bredlis. I could get a nice Bredli from him. I love the look of them, but I am torn. I was hoping I can get some insight on what you think would be a good idea. I have a male spider, and a female mojo already. I wanted to get a nice morph for myself. Hopefully female so I can eventually breed her to the spider, that is if i go the BP route, and not a carpet. What morphs do you think go well with a spider? It doesnt have to be co-dom, or dominant, but a nice girl. If you guys are producing anything that you might have available, PM me please, and prices. Im very excited at this possibility. Im trying to stay ahead of the game, and get things planned out.

I hate these kind of questions since only you can decide for yourself what your future plans are...But since you asked for opinions I would get a nice female pastel to mate with the spider...But just my opinion and the decision is ultimately up to you...And of course I am no EXPERT!!!:P

Go with what grabs your attention, with a spider you could pick up a female super pastel. or with a female mojave a male mystic would be a good investment. keep saving get one this summer.

If it was me i would get a nice male lesser to breed to your mojo...gotta love those BELs!! but its your money...not mine.

For $700 you could easily get a male mojo or lesser and a female pastel. That would get you on your way to making bees and BELs. Just my opinion.

I realize that alot of people dont like these questions, because yea, it does come down to my opinion, but as i said, i have a male spider, and female mojo, and i am only beginning to understand all the morphs. I know alot of very good breeders come here, and know alot. I was thinking a nice female super, killerbees, bees, pastels, and spiders. I would look at a mystic, but I have no idea where to find one, and what the pricetag on one is. It doesnt have to be a co-dom or dominant, id love to work in recessives. Low white pieds i might be able to afford if im lucky, and good at haggling, or a nice-ish genetic stripe. Someone at the show here in september had 6.9 genetic stripes, males were $450, females were $550. All had full stripes. So im hoping I can find something like that pricewise on a BP. So it seems like im looking mainly at a super pastel, genetic stripe, or low white pied. I guess if I get that permission im looking for for my birthday, ill go to the show that comes 2 weeks later, and get what catches my eye. But im definitely up to hearing everyones opinions, and seeing the morphs, and what I could potentially do with them.

Get a female lesser and a ghost female.

why should I get a female lesser if I already have a female mojave? They both have the same outcome, lessers are just much lighter than mojaves.

But that is because I really like the look of spieds and mojave pieds. :D

And the question is more than fair. Best way to learn about the morphs is in a thread like this with Google Images at your side. :)

My suggestion, would be to aim for something in 250-450 range... and set the rest aside for supplies and a vet fund. Keep some aside for maintenance, and then build that for your next purchase. :gj:

They were all great suggestions, and you can never have too many pastel females. :)

ok, i can definitely get something in that range. So this brings up one more question... What would you suggest getting? I dont want to get just a plain pastel. I dont like them so much when the brown out... What kind of animals do you think I could get at those kinds of prices? Or does it all depend on the seller and how low they will go? or any ballpark guesses?

I would go with a female super pastel or pastel jungle for your spider. and for your mojave, I would mate it with your spider! Mojave spiders are a nice morph!
