First BP eggs...of 2010 and ever.
This is my first clutch of ball python eggs ever. This female was bred to a male Pastel. She weighed about 2800 grams before laying. She laid 12 eggs weighing 1087 grams. I've got 2 more females that just ovulated in the past week (Albino x Het Albino and Yellowbelly/Pinstripe/Pastel/Bumblebee x Normal).

Re: First BP eggs...of 2010 and ever.
Thanks everyone. I was pretty suprised when she laid this many. She took her sweet time laying too...37 days after her pre lay shed. I've got my fingers crossed for good odds.
My other 2 females that ovulated are smaller (2400 grams and 1900 grams), so I probably won't see another clutch that big this year.

Yea...I still need to get one of those, lol. I can move my future breeders to a Vision rack and use the homemade rack for hatchlings if I have to...but that's only a temporary fix. I have a bunch of snakes that should lay this year. :D
Thanks everyone.

Re: First BP eggs...of 2010 and ever.
I'm pretty sure this is her first clutch too. I picked her up at a local pet store earlier this year. Someone got her as a hatchling and I guess they couldn't keep her anymore.

Re: First BP eggs...of 2010 and ever.
Congrats on your first clutch. If you think that was exciting, wait until they start to pip. Althoug I must admit, the next 56 days are going to be very loooooooooong.

I will probably keep a female pastel since it'll be my first clutch. That female pastel that's being difficult ate twice in a row...for the first time (her sister is 3X her weight now...).
