From $250 to $50,000 & up (I think the albino is somewhere in the $200,000 range) ....so where is your price range? :gj:

So it depends... there are many factors for buying a GTP
Local, morph ie: designer, who breed it so on.

U can pick one up from Joe Blow for cheap..But don’t expect much

Do your research and get a quality animal it’s worth it and u will be happy with the animal.

Albino hasn't been offered for sale yet to my knowledge. but a 50% possible het is going for 9K.

I do have to disagree tho. local, unless its a Canary, doesn't mean anything, each animal will be priced according to how it looks. a biak is not worth more than an aru just because its a biak. only morph is the albino. tho designer chondros will call for more cash tho.

but like he said do your research, these are not ball pythons.

I don't know if i'm allowed to hot link another forum, but I guess a mod can delete it if I can't

I never claimed one local was worth more than another HOWEVER find me a Kofiau for the same price as an Aru ...... As for the albino there was a talk awhile back and they estimated its value (this is why I posted it as 'range').

My avatar is only one of my GTP's - it is a melanistic from Greg Maxwell.
ohh and one more thing... I am a she.... :)

    Kofiau = Canary
Personally I don't think you can but a value on it. The best people can do right now are 50% hets so who knows, alot of people might be after that first one for sale and who knows what they will pay.

and I apologize for saying he

unfortunately my avatar passed away. she was an unknown local. Had both textbook aru and biak looks so I'm guessing a cross. she was a rescue tho.

sorry to hear of your loss. I lost a biak that came in to me as a rescue and its very hard.

Kofiau = Canary Yes and not only... Canary is any GTP that stays Yellow so it can be a cross or other.

As for the starter of this thread u should pic up the book 'the more complete chondro' by Greg Maxwell.

We went the other way. We had green trees and then "graduated" to BPs. They are definitely not the same. Of the three species you have listed in your sig, none of them are extremely challenging or sensitive to mistakes. Green trees aren't especially hard if you're good with your husbandry, but they're not tolerant of mistakes and they can challenge your patience.

GTP's are awesome snakes. GTP and ETB are the best display snake's. I have wanted one for a long time. I'm thinking of getting one this year, They are costly up front but well worth it in the long run.

Darksmoke..., If you buy from a big name breeder it will be $375-$400 for a plain jane GTP and they go up from there. The highest price I've seen is 9k.

LLL reptile has them now for $299 plus $35 shipping.
