    Spimo
I've been looking around trying to figure out what I want to start with and I think I found it. I want your input, tell me what you think about this morph. The pics I have seen the spimo was very clean looking. I have yet to find a pic of a older spimo, so do they darken up alot like bumble bees?

Start off with 0.2 mojo's, Year later get a male spider. Breed spider to both girls hoping to get a pair of 1.1 spimo's.. With my luck i'm sure it will take more then 1 breeding to get 2 spimos.
I love the look of the spimo, I think it will hold its color better then a bumblebee.I am also interested in doing some stuff with lessers and ghosts so I need to think of someway to incorporate them into this. Thanks for reading this I am looking forward to your feedback

no pics, cant seem to get them uploaded to this site...
a spimo wont darken (brown out) like the bumblebee tho, its the poor quality pastel influence that does that

imo, get an orange ghost male, lesser female...

I'm guessing spider-mojave, never heard it called that before though. They are pretty snakes. There is a nice pic of a male locking up in one of the breeding threads right now.

Here is a link to Muddoc's thread in the breeder forum I mentioned. His Mojave spider is stunning.

I have alot on my mind in terms of what to get. Been thinking non stop actually.I have alot of different things I want to do, I just cant decide what to get 1st.

I want to do cinnabee, spimo, mojave ghost, cinny ghost. What to get 1st as I cant get all of them at the same time. I can get 2 females at once then another female and a male the following year. The bad thing is I like them all the same so I cant pick yet.

What would you start with and why..

So who coined the name spimo? Until today, I've never heard of a mojave spider called that.

    Hi,

Spimo is a new one on me as well. :weirdface

And mojavebee only has 2 genes - the bee part just means it has spider in it.

Thus we get butter bee, lesserbee, cinnabee, stingerbee, honeybee etc.

When you add the pastel gene a new first name is generally made a la queenbee.

I did like sputter as a name for the butterbee - may be we could call the mojavebee a mutter? :P :P :P

We need a new BP base morph that starts with the letter "N" so I can make a nutter.

By the way when did NERD add retics, monitor and tokay morphs to the sneak peek?

Nope - 2 genes. As Derek already said - spider crosses are usually referred to as bee's (mojave bee, lesser bee, butter bee, etc). :)

    Re: Spimo
Is the bumblebee the cheapest of the bee morphs right now? I want to make bees but I dont want to start with just spider x pastel. Thinking of getting a cinny and breed bumblebee x cinny.

I figure it would save alot of time and some money doing it this way. I have looked up the outcome and it is all over the place but I like the idea of getting many morphs out of each clutch. Here is what I got for bumblebee x cinny
    MALE: Bumblebee --FEMALE: Cinnamon 12.5%: Normal 12.5%: Cinnamon12.5%: Pastel 12.5%: Pewter 12.5%: Spider12.5%: CinnaBee 12.5%: Bumblebee 12.5%: Pewter Bee
So thats 1n8 for each animal, not to shabby of a outcome considering what you may get.
I want to eventually do lessser and ghost but that has to wait a while. What do you guys think about this as a first breeding?? Any input is appreciated guys

    Re: Spimo
As awesome of a first breeding that would be, I always suggest for people to take a step back and get their animals as juveniles. When it really comes down to it, this seems to be just a flash in the pan for many people, and investing in something without all of the knowledge can sometimes be disastrous.

No offense intended just sharing my point of view. Plus in the end the result will be more rewarding knowing that you hand raised and brought both animals up for the purpose of your end-all goal. :gj:
