Trip to EBV... tons of pics!

Today I took a drive out to East Bay Vivarium in Berkeley (where I actually bought my first snake, Delilah), since I had a glass/wood terrarium to trade in. They gave me $75 store credit, so of course I spent it on a snake... which I'll tell you about in a minute. ;) In the meantime, here are the photos I got with my iPhone - for anyone around here who hasn't been, it's definitely worth a visit!

The biggest "boa" is actually a tiger reticulated python, and great pick up. Ive been dieing to get one

Thanks. :) I'm thinking of calling him "Kipling," after the author of Jungle Book - Kaa was too obvious, LOL.

And what do you mean by your first sentence? Is a retic actually a boa? :confused: Guess I'll restate that and say "it was the biggest BCI I've ever seen!"

No he meant the snake you thought was a big Boa is actualy a Reticulated Python. :D

I've yet to go there, and need to! Maybe next time we go to a Cal game or SF we'll have to make a trip over there.

Most definitely... it's like a reptile museum! And always super busy on the weekends, since it's a cheap/free way to entertain the kids for a while. :gj:

Btw, can anyone identify this lizard for me? Not really looking to get lizards now, but this guy/gal is just tooooo cute... :D

That would be an Argus monitor.

Thanks for identifying that! He/she really is a cutie... maybe one day if I decide to keep big lizards, I'll get one of those & a beardie. :)
