    What other thread?

I would try and get him to vet as soon as possible.

Search for "prolapse" on here to find some threads with first aid/ advice in the meantime.

I'll try and find the threads I'm thinking of but the more of us searching the quicker we find it.

Muddoc had this one on a hemipene prolapse..

Ralph had this prolapsed rectum on the tube...

I'm not a vet by no means but from pics I've seen in the past it looks more like a prolapsed rectum.

Get him to the vet....I have never seen this in person but have read about and I just did a search. To me I agree with the other....a prolasped rectum.

    Sorry!

Also...I cannot remember where I read this...but don't let it dry out either.

Sorry I cannot be more specific...but I do remember that part as well. I will continue to try to do more research. Everything I am finding right now says get to the vet immediately. I did find a do it yourself thing on rcreptiles.com but I did not feel that was a safe way to deal with it.

He will be seeing a doctor sometime tomorrow. it is 11 at night here and it seems all the emergency vets in this area dont like to have on hand herp vets. I have bunch of place to call in the morning, and we are hoping a friend of mines dad will be around tomorrow cause he is a herp vet and the closet one

Thats a prolapsed rectum most likely caused by a heavy parasite load you need to lubricate it with ky jelly and take him to a vet you can try to press it back in gently but I am more comfortable with a vet doing that. If you have a fecal sample from that snake take it to the vet with you. It is very important even if you are able to get it back in to follow up with a vet ASAP.
Keep it lubricated until you are able to seek medical attention for the snake.
    Good luck.

While waiting to see a vet, you can soak him in sugar water. This will help keep it moist and will also help it withdraw back inside.
