sorry guys but this is the only picture i have. im having issues with my camera. does pastels turn brownish when in shed? hmmmm.. didn't know that but the guy i bought it from said he's about to shed although his eyes are clear. i guess, he is going to shed any moment now. I was a little worried because this is the first time i've seen a dark pastel (if he is) the usual pastel i've seen are more on the bright yellow side.

I have one that is about 5 years old that looks exactly like that. He was given to me by someone that could no longer care for him.

I'm inclined to say normal or YB. I've seen some browned Pastels before but nothing that got even remotely THAT dark.

    Re: What morph is this?
There is noway that is a normal or a yellow belly. If you look at the yellow at the base it is a pastel, yes a very browned out pastel, there are some out there that are that dark.

Definitely NOT a YB. But most likely a pastel.

    Re: What morph is this?
It's a pastel. The brown is a bronze/maize colour typical of the brown pastels get, and the yellow toward the belly is a giveaway. That said, it's definitely not a normal or a YB. Not the right shade of brown.

    Re: What morph is this?
    Nah, that's a normal.

Looks just like the one I posted pics of that I thought was a pastel, and everyone here said normal.

I've seen LOTS of high color normals, some that were so yellow I still have trouble believing they are just normals.

So I'm gonna say normal, a pretty normal, but still a normal.

In my honest opinion from the one picture provided.

    - Doesn't look like a Yellowbelly in anyway!
    - Possibly a Pastel: I have seen some really brown pastels and this one could be one
    - Possibly a Normal: I have seen some normals with extreme yellow toward the belly like that. My buddy has a normal that has Neon Yellow sides at 2 years that looks almost identical to that one minus the slight blushing on the back.

    Re: What morph is this?
To help with the argument of yellow sides on normals, or yellow normals for that matter here are mine.

Adult male Normal, nice yellow coming up the sides, lighter colour, still just a normal.
    http://i735.photobucket.com/albums/w...4Dec250023.jpg

My 09 female normal, super yellow, moreso than some pastels I see, still normal though.
    http://i735.photobucket.com/albums/w...1Dec250027.jpg

Now in contradiction to my pictures above, I think that the snake in question is a pastel myself. It's brown, but a pastel hue of brown I think. Just a thought. ~Caylan.S.~

PS no flash in my photo's, no editing what so ever, just look at the newspaper under the bin they're in. Only thing done was resizing. Thanks!

Not to mention the OP's picture looks like poor qualitity and bad lighting, where as your pictures are good lighting and good resolution. . . The OP definately has a Pastel over 700 grams in the first picture. . . yours are both normals

I agree with the Poor quality of the picture it would be nice to see a nice focused picture of the entire animal with good lighting.

I still would not say it is definitely a pastel from that picture.

Just out of curiosity. How can you be so sure of the size of that animal from that picture?

If that snake is not a Pastel I'll be damned. 100% positive that is a Pastel. Go look at pics on Fauna Classifieds where the majority of the pics are taken in somebodies bedroom and you will see how it can be a Pastel.;)
