I held out for a long time. A few months ago I saw an ad for the little female and was hooked.

In many ways they remind me of cribos (which is about the highest compliment I can pay a snake). Very aware of their surroundings and very interactive.

The female is a little lady, very elegant and regal. The male is an absolute butt-head, a bluffer and a tail-whipper. The kids have named him "Fido".

If they could perfectly mimmic the actual Cobras hood, then I would get one tomorrow, lol.

As far as the Cribos, are you referring to the black or yellow? I was looking at a yellow but it was pretty fiesty.

I keep both - they can be equally feisty but will calm down with patience and handling. The trick it to calm them down before they become an 8' long and nine pound bully.

Yea, i've seen a bite from a roughly 7-8' cribo, and it was pretty nasty.

I've been on the end of one and it was pretty nasty.

I love my cribos and indigos like I love my dog. Wonderful animals with a ton of personality.

My big male YT found a way to open his cage door. Until I replaced the acrylic with glass (and a lock), he would push it open every day.

He had a favorite spot on a window ledge and would be there every day when I came home from work. I'd walk up to the snake house and there his face would be in the window.

My male BT will go outside with me whether the weather is hot or cold. On cold days he crawls into one sleeve and wraps his body around my shoulders and upper chest. He then sticks his head up out of the neck of my shirt. After he's good and situated, we rake up leaves, sweep the walk, take the garbage cans out to the curb or pick dog poop of the lawn.

I'll get my wife to snap a pic of us. It cracks the kids up seeing his head poke out by the collar of my jacket while his body is inside my shirt.

Sounds like my Yellow Conda. I don't like to take her out in the cooler weather even though she doesn't mind it. I may have to get a Cribo one day, what would you recommend, yellow or black?

As a rule, black tails stay smaller and (on average) have mellower dispositions.

They are also the least expensive of all the drymarchon.

    Love me some FWC.

I have a trio (1.2) of them. My male being a Super Hypo, while the females being Hypos.

My favorite species to work with hands down.

    I eagerly await that trip.

C'mon - hit me. Post 'em up.

I have never met him but the deal went down smooth and the animal is top notch. Anyone who produces an animal of that caliber is OK in my book.
