Some '09 Holdbacks
I haven't been around much lately (actually I haven't been anywhere lately), as I have been to busy with work and trying to maintain the collection (including breeding). However, I was out taking a picture of the progress on the new incubator, and thought I would snap some pics of some of the 2009 production that are growing into ther colors nicely. On to the pics, as I know that is what this forum enjoys the most.
First up is our Sable Pinstripe female. She was a horrible feeder to start and required 8 assist feedings before eating on her own. She also dropped her yolk and started out at about 40 grams. She is about 120 now. She does have Sable in her, and hence the reason she is so hard to photograph.

Next is our StingerBee male (Enchi x Spider). He also is difficult to capture the true coloring, because his colors seem to be softer than a Spider, and the yellow is much more intense on his dorsum than a regular Spider. His head pattern is also more washed out.

Here is a very nice Pastel Yellow Belly female that we kept. I attribute her exceptional color to being from a stressed egg. She also dropped her yolk and needing assist feeding, but she is over 300 grams now and eating like a champ.

Here is the reduced Clown female that we produced this year. I love her more and more as she grows.

This is one of my favorite combos. A Hypo Mojave female. I actually think I might keep one more, but I haven't decided yet which one I want to keep. This one had the most spacing between the pattern, and caught my eye, so she was the first pick.

Lastly, but not leastly (I know that isn't a word, but it sounded good) is our Pastel Spotnose male. I tried for two years before I got one of these, and I can't wait to plug him into some other projects. First up for him will obviously be some Spotnose females, and I think a Pastel Lesser female will be a close second followed by a Cinny or Sterling female.

I hope you enjoyed the pics,

Re: Some '09 Holdbacks
I love that sable pinstripe. She's a beauty. And I'll have to jump on the bandwagon... That clown is amazing.

Re: Some '09 Holdbacks
Thanks for all of the compliments. While I do love that Clown, and would never allow her to leave, I have to agree with most on here, the Hypo Mojave is one of my favorite morphs in my entire collection. I most anticipate breeding the Pastel Spotnose, because I think some of his offspring will be amazing. As for the Sable Pin, I am just glad she is fiunally eating. She was the first one ever produced, and I have some big plans for her in the future as well.
Thanks again,

Re: Some '09 Holdbacks
That clown is ridiculous, I love the reduced patterns :gj:
Sounds like you have a great thing going with the pastel spotnose plan, after seeing Ben Renicks Spotnose Lesser I can't imagine what a Super Pastel Spotnose Lesser will look like :O

You most certainly are not the only one. That happens to be one of the highlights of my season. I've been trying for 2 years to make that cross.
