    Finally!
    my little 380 gram lesser male has finally gotten his act together and has decided to start breeding the right end of my big 2,400 gram pinstripe female. :banana: took him a few times before he realized hey fore play is great but theres something even better at the other end.:)

    TINY little guy!

    KEEP him eating and yank him if he goes off feed.

    Breeding males so small IS do-able, you just have to be careful.

    thats the thing i love about him. he's a eating machine. the instant he's done with a lock or a attempt at one. he'll be out lookin for a small with no hesitation. i've always had pretty good luck with small males breeding and continuing to eat. my cinny male was 435 grams when he started breeding.

    yea she's gigantic for only being 22 months old. :D my biggest normal girl is usually near 4,500 grams. i'll post some pictures of bertha when she's back up to weight later this year. she laied a 14 egg clutch about 4 months ago and even after that she still weighed 2,400 grams. i think she might be a sub-sahara since she's so big and her head is absolutly huge. she eats jumbo rats without a problem. a couple of her babies i held onto are already getting close to 1,500 grams and their just over a year old.
