    Some (very) Close-Up Shots...
Got a neat little gizmo (Raynox DCR-250) for my macro lens and tested it out. Let's me get very very close! I'm having a lot of fun with it. I wish it were not winter so I could go out and shoot some bugs!

and a couple things that I pulled out of a spider web... (shed spider exoskeleton and a dead fly)

You are in the computer industry why......you should be a professional photographer??? I think you should make some large prints of those. I know I would buy one!!! seriously!~~

Exactly, its an attachment that just clips to the front of most macro and telephoto lenses via an adapter. Raynox makes even more powerful super-macro lenses but beyond this level of magnification, you usually need to use focus rails and whatnot- I like this one because I can still hand-hold the camera.

The plane of focus is so narrow with this setup that I had to shoot at f/22 and up to get usable pictures.

These were taken using a Canon Rebel T1i with a Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 + Raynox DCR-250. The flash is a Canon 580exII shot through a LumiQuest Big Bounce Diffuser.

    Thanks again everyone!

Man that is so cool i might have to pick up one of these babies to play with.

Ahh focus rails *sigh* fine if i've got a copy stand but freehand, not so much. And since I left my college lab behind I've got no more copy stands.

    Nice my brudda.

I was thinkin of picking one of those up after seeing a friend of mine use one in person.

I have a 50mm 2.8 macro and I think it would be freaking AWESOME to pop that bad boy on there.
