Is this something you give them to eat or drink??:confused:

Kind of like flake food for fish which increases color?

Snakes are not like fish. You can not give them cherry shrimp and expect them to brighten up..

Unless you can find naturally colored neon rodents, I would not give my snakes anything like that.

If it does work on snakes I can see it as bad news. There will be those dishonest people who will "brighten" up thier bps, like a pastel to make ot look like a high quality animal and charge more for it then it is worth. I see alot of people getting ripped off.

I have seen that stuff at a certain chain pet store before, and it looked sketchy. You put it in their water i think. I would definitely never use it.

It is being sold at a pet store?? Is it marketed for vegetarian reptiles only? Or does it actually say it is safe for carnivores...

There isnt anything a carnivorous snake would eat in the wild that would brighten its colors. So I cant believe a product like this would even be for a carnivore..

    Doesnt make sense.

Some herbivores eat plants that contribute to their color. Some insectivors do too.. But not the rodent eating snakes. It doesnt happen in nature so why risk it.

That is some crazy stuff....it is marketed like a vitamin supplement.

I would not use this at all. Mainly I wouldn't trust it to be safe!!!

This is the first time I've ever seen it. If you try it out show us what you think. I'm not willing to try it on mine but if you do , I'd still like to see it.

I'd never use it on my snakes, and on top of that, I think it's most likely a scam and doesn't work.

This just seems wrong to me. It reminds me of those Junior High science tests where you take white roses and leave them in food coloring for a few days and they take on the food colorings color.

I don't think snakes drink enough water for that to effect them though.

This is an old thread you know that right ?

I would think if the whole food coloring for snakes thing had worked out we would know it by now.

Feed the green to your axanthic killer bee and be the first to own a green bee!

Old or not, someone brought it back to life.

And I disagree. We would NOT know it by now, as people aren't going to use this product 99% of the time (I would HOPE anyway).

Why on earth would this be a promoted thing?

Probably not marketed anymore, I clicked the link, then the "more info" link and it was broken.
And no way would I use any product like this....
