Bumblebee Ball Python
So I'm purchasing this Bumblebee Ball Python. Is $700 a fair price? I've seen some for more and some for less, but he looks fairly clean and not too many brown scales. What do you think? Thanks!

Re: Bumblebee Ball Python
I've seen them for as low as $450, but I didn't know the seller. So guess it comes down to who you trust and what snake you like. $700 isn't a bad price at all though.

Re: Bumblebee Ball Python
i know some great breeders selling them for $500 and they are really nice and yellow.. really depends on who you trust basically.... good luck pm me and ill give you the info

Re: Bumblebee Ball Python
That is a great looking Bee, $700 is a decent price
-
Re: Bumblebee Ball Python
$700 is too high. Ive seen them on tables at shows for 450-550 depending on quality.
-
Re: Bumblebee Ball Python
I haven't sent the check out yet, is it rude to cancel the deal if I decide it's too high? Or would it be better to try to talk them down to a better price?
-
Re: Bumblebee Ball Python
talk to the person and tell them the price is more than you want to spen and you can get ones cheaper.
But if you like it then buy it, price shouldn't be issue if you really love that snake.

Re: Bumblebee Ball Python
You pay cheap you get cheap, $700 is a great price for that Bee. Yes you can get them for $400 but they aren't USUALLY high quality. We pay more for our animals because they are great examples of their morph.:gj:

Thats opinion, each person has their own set price for a certain snake. When one is priced low everyone jumps to thinking its got something wrong with it or they must find a issue with why its so cheap. When i was at daytona 3 TOP breeders we all know had gorgeous high yellow bees for 500 on the table for females.
To one its own but keep in mind you CAN AND WILL find ones just as nice cheaper.
Edit: you wont get cheaper prices unless you go to the shows, as most online deals have set market value which is higher than shows.

Re: Bumblebee Ball Python
Yes he really is gorgeous. I just emailed the seller and asked if we could negotiate something. If he says no to a price negotiation, I am still going to go through with it. He's such a gorgeous little boy. I just fell in love with the little look on his face :D

Like stated if you love it and have to have it then price should not be a issue.

Ya we were just stating our opinion. Thats why I said they USUALLY arent high quality. Just trying to keep the prices level!:salute:

Re: Bumblebee Ball Python
You should try and negotiate a better price....it does look like a nice clean bee but their prices are around 500-600...money you can bring down is money in your pocket for another snake:gj:

i say if its a good price and obviously a very beautiful snake then id go for it. just keep in mine YOU'LL NEVER GO WRONG WHEN IT COMES TO QUALITY
just my 2 cents

Quality does not always mean more Money. I in my right mind have e very right to sell pieds for 100$ if i want too but i chose not too for the fact of what they can bring in.
Just each seller has the right to ask half the market value of any one snake if he wants too and theres nothing you or I or anyone else cant do about it.

Re: Bumblebee Ball Python
Personally, I would ask for a lower price. From the picture it almost looks like he has a wobble. I personally would look for a more reduced Bumblebee, but that's just me. If it were me purchasing the snake, I would ask for a lower price.
-
Re: Bumblebee Ball Python
That bumblebee only looks to be around 100 grams also, for that price you could find a female that weighs almost 250 grams, so i would look for a different breeder, but if you really love that guy, its your money...

Re: Bumblebee Ball Python
My bee is in my avatar.....and I negotiated to $500 at a show. Sometimes I think you can get deals at shows. He is from a very reputable breeder and is a great little BP.
Now the one in the pic I think looks great to me as well.....I personally do not think that $700 is too much. I have seen them range in price from cheaper to more expensive. It is a matter of what you like and what you are willing to pay. I will pay more for the one I like...and of course the reputation. That doesn't say that someone that offers cheaper cannot be a great breeder.
Also someone else stated that the pic made it look like it might have a wobble. Check on that ...talk to the breeder. Could just be the pic but it does look like there is a bit of a head tilt. They are part spider and sometimes pick up that trait.
But I think he is certainly a looker! Love those bee eyes!!

Re: Bumblebee Ball Python
I called the breeder and explained that some people thought there might be a head wobble and he told me he'd put it in writing that there was not one, so I sent the check out. I'm super excited and I will post pics of him when I get him! :D

Re: Bumblebee Ball Python
Look around Kingsnake. Look for a comparable Bumblebee. See what they're selling for. Like other people have said, Bumblebees can seel for as little as $400 and maybe as much as $800. You always have the choice to ask for a better price. Snakes sell for different prices all around the country. Tell a little lie and say you've found another for $500, see what that gets you from the seller. For the kind of money you're spending, if the seller walks, you'll be able to find another.
We're not talking about a one of a kind snake, get the price you want to pay or walk away. Breeders will be swimming in Bumblebees in the next 6-8 months.
Hold off, if you can't get this one for the price you think is fair. Maybe you think $700 is fair, if that's the case, buy it. If not, hold true to your guns and tell the buyer you're only interested in paying X amount of dollars.
Personally, I think it's worth about $550-$600, but that's in my area of the country, your mileage may differ,
Good Luck!

Re: Bumblebee Ball Python
Hi sorry to jack the thread but it is a simlar question. How much do breeder bumblebee females go for. I found one for 950 (800g) and one for 2200 (1100g), the 2nd one has much less browning than the first. is 2200 exorbitant or expected?

Ill second that one. But I'd like to mention if your gonna spend $700 on a Bee I would buy it off a top quality breeder just so your 100% not 99% sure your getting a top quality animal and theres nothing wrong with it at all.
