14 inch long bp tub questions asap
so i've been monitoring all my bps, anyway the bp in the 20L cool side is dropping to 60, and there is no usefull outlets to put a lamp on a dimmer, so i was gonna move him to a tub, and slowly use remove the UTh using the removal thread that is stickyed on here, i know an adult needs a a 41 qt what will his size need, and do i still use 2 hides

A 16qt tub will probably be good.

Although putting the snake in a tub won't necessarily bring up the ambient temperature. It insulates a little bit better but you will still probably have problems getting the temps up.

At this point it might be worthwhile to think about adding a second UTH to your thermostat or getting a small space heater. 60* is very very cold for a ball python. It is not recommended to let the temps fall below 75*.

What would be the possibilty of getting a good surge protector which will have 6-8 extra outlets and just moving the tank? Also, depending on the size of your UTH, you may need to get one that covers closer to half of the floor space. If you do decide to go with a tub, I would recommend using 2 hides since it will be a stand alone tub...

it out grew its baby scales so im gueesing about 400 grams, bought him in september and he was about 8 inches, i was wxcited to get him and didn't ask breeder age, when i put him in cage, all he did was roam, they didn't have 16, but 15 instead, i barly had room to fit one hide, water dish, and a small strip of grenery, he laid on top of his hide instead of in it, temps were 90.6

The best way to measure the legnth of your snake is with this computer program. I will have to do some research to see if I can find it, but it is real easy to use. I don't remember if it was this website or another so I will have to dig around for it...

Ok, here's the link. Some people like it, some people don't. Just make sure you take a pic of your snake from directly overhead, not from an angle...
