    First shed.....maybe
Ok I have a pastel male that was born on 9/25/09 and has eaten for me 3 times now. The last feeding was 12/22 and he normally eats 2 f/t fuzzy mice to total 10 grams which is around the ball park of what he needs. (getting bumped up to 3 til I finish the box then being moved to adult mice)
Anyway, on the 12/22 feeding he only ate 1 f/t fuzzy and the next day I noticed he was a "ghost" color and was going into shed with the cloudy eyes and what not. Then the next couple days he has had the blue eyes but not really blue like the pics. Well I go to take a look at him after going over "The Shedding Process" sticky and see he doesn't have a pink belly (now) and seems to be back to normal just alittle darker and his eyes are fine (alittle cloudy but not much at all). Now I know they go through this stage but is it really that different from the "ghost" appearance they used to have. I feel like I'm losing my mind over here.
Is there anyway he already shed and ate it?? I know geckos do but do BP's? Also he's been ALWAYS in his hide (he's in a 6 qt tub). He normally chills on top of the hide at night but he never leaves his hide now. Does it he just feel vulnerable or something?
    Thank you in advance.

LoL Bp's don't eat their shed....The shedding process can take a week or more from start to finish. They will go blue for a few days, and then clear up and look "normal" then they will shed.

Should be good to go. If he/she has any retained shed after, just use a wet washcloth and rub over in the direction of the scales.

Ok well today/last night he turned a ghost color. He is acting sorta weird when I open the tub like knowing where to hide his head. Is it just because he is about to shed and feels vuneralble or is it more than just cuz of the shed?

My female BPis in shed. She is in the phase where they clear up and then shed. She is very head shy at the time of her shed. I had to pull her out yesterday to do some spot cleaning and she just pulled her head back so i'm thinking that what you experienced is quite normal.

Sweet im about to take a vid and upload it by 1:30 or so to show behavior and color.
BTW this is like day 9 and I am still surprised he ate before shedding, even is was only half of what he normally eats.

Uploading vid now. Heard cracking of the old skin so I hope to see shedding by the end of the day. =)

Don't worry about it. Just let your snake have some alone time and you should find a nice shed very soon.

Alright almost Day 12 and still no shed. Seems to be the same ghost/ really dull color as yesterday. Also REALLY shiney. Idk what that means but he is. He is never really in his hide anymore either. Normally chilling b/w the tub wall and the hide or roaming.
Is there a sickness or some disease that causes these symptoms or am I just being impatient? Is it time for a soaking and wash cloth method? Eyes rn't dented so I know he's not dehydrated........
    PS
He has only eaten twice for me and refused twice before he ate.

The shedding process can take up to 14 days. I just read the sticky on the shedding process under BP Husbandry. You should read it. My female BP just shed for me after twelve days of looking dull and then clearing up. What is your humidity at? You should have it at 65% to 70% to help your snake shed. Just be patient, it will happen soon.

This is driving me insane. I'm about to go on a camping trip fro 3 days and this little guy still hasn't shed. He is ultra dull in color and VERY glossy. But his eyes are as normal as the day I got him and the top of his head normal. It's just the rest of his body looks like he is dehydrated or something / wants to shed.
I haven't fed him since he started. (12 days ago) I didn this b/c ppl said when they are in shed or sheding they don't eat. Should I feed him, and will that help the shed?

All my snakes eat during shed. The only way to find out if yours doesn't eat during shed is to offer food and see.

Could you possibly take a picture of te snake? Chances are he will shed any day now though.

That does look pretty odd to me. How are you checking humidity? It almost looks like he has a completely stuck shed.

Accurite. The humidity and temp reader is about 1/3rd the way on the cold side and then the prob is in the hot hide. In a 6 qt tube with aspen bedding.
She I wait it out or try the soaking method?
