    Vanilla Pastel...a year later
Last year I was fortunate to produce 3 vanilla pastel females, and held back one. She was the most reduced patterned out of the three. I was told to expect her color to get better with time so I'm curious to see how she changes as she grows. Here are a couple pics I just took:

And here's a pic of her a year ago...

If anything, I think her color is a bit brighter than a year ago, but I don't see a huge difference. It will be fun to see what she does a year from now.

She looks very nice - great animal. I've been checking out a nice vanilla-pastel but I can't tell if it is an actual vanilla-pastel.

Very nice. I have to wonder what a vanilla super pastel would look like? Her baby pic is reminiscent of super pastels.

If I were you I would buy a Van Pastel Boy and in a year breed her to get Super Vanilla Super Pastel Balls.

    Maki, she looks great.

The female I got from you still looks outstanding! Think I am going to do the Het Black Eyed Lucy cross with my girl.

VERY nice!!! I love how that vanilla gene seems to brighten her up over time.
I am still debating what I want to breed with my vanilla male to.....pastel or het red axanthic??? Maybe both lol.

Smart man...for 3 gene snakes, the Vanilla Cream Pastel will be a Killer Bee killer, IMO.

That's why I think I'll keep one of my vanilla pastel male babies this year, though I don't like that they would be full siblings. Next year, if I can produce a VP male from a different pairing, then I'll pair him with her and let the one from this year go.

Oh wow, that's going to be an awesome cross. Can't wait to see what hatches! Did see the vanilla x fire babies that Gulf Coast produced?

I'd vote for both, but definitely breed him to a pastel. I don't know what a vanilla x het red axanthic would look like, or if it's been done, but it's worth finding out.
