Woma Pastel
here are some Woma Pastels I produced earlier this year, I ended up with 2.1 so not too bad at all out of one clutch :D

Re: Woma Pastel
Beautiful snakes.
If someone asked me what I thought they were, I'd say pastel spiders, no offense. I see that the pattern is broken to an almost banded state which is the difference between a woma and a spider? I'm just trying to learn.

Re: Woma Pastel
Spider and woma are very similar looking, and when you combine them with a pastel the end results are very similar to pairing a spider to a pastel. The woma pastel seems to look more banded than a bumblebee which tends to have narrower 'spider webbing'. I hope that answers your question and there was no offence taken ;)

Re: Woma Pastel
Very nice looking animals. Congrats on the production. I have been debating making some of these myself.

Re: Woma Pastel
I love them, expecially going forward with the woma project. If the male gets to a good weight in the first half of next year I will be trying him with 4 morph females and see what we can produce out the other end. I feel this is an underrated morph and there is a lot of petential in other combos, especially her in the UK ;)

Re: Woma Pastel
That actually looks pretty cool! I'll put that on my to do list.

Re: Woma Pastel
Those are some nice looking serpents. :D

Re: Woma Pastel
very nice! i've gotta get a woma. havent seen many combos with them but the ones i have seen have been AWESOME. definatly under rated

Re: Woma Pastel
Womas are definitely on my wish list - I think they're way underrated. I mean, just look at that belly, and the cream accents on the head. Unreal!

Re: Woma Pastel
I think there is a lot that can be done with the Womas, NERD have some really nice examples on their website of what can be done with them, and BHB have a nice looking Cinny Woma :) I will hopefully be shooting for woma pastel x lesser this season if the male hits weight, along with pastel woma x pastel, the possibly lethal woma pastel x woma and Woma Pastel x mojave. Will be interesting to see what comes out.
I have noticed something in the behaviour of my male woma that is very similar to the spider 'spin', so the only combination that I am REALLY hesitant to do at the moment is the spider x woma as I'm wondering if the outcome would be like putting 2 spiders together. Also the woma pastel x woma could be a doomed project, but it's one I think I need to try for myself and study the outcome. Possibly controversial, but sometimes you need to be in it to win it, if it fails I wont attempt it again.

Re: Woma Pastel
Personally, I want one of these babies:
Woma Soul Sucker:

Re: Woma Pastel
The soul sucker is a stunning animal, but it all hinges on if you get lucky with that hidden gene ;) The woma pastel lesser version is almost as sexy though and I certainly wouldn't say no to one of those! :D

Re: Woma Pastel
Oh my gosh I love it!!! I would love to have a woma!

Re: Woma Pastel
My womas came from Brian @ BHB and I have to say the male hasn't let me down so far, will see what happens with the female this season hopefully :)

Re: Woma Pastel
Such beautiful babies! Words can not express how happy I am to see someone else working with Womas. They are one of my favorite morphs, and so under-rated. I'm not sure if it's because of the Pearl problem, but I hear them all too often refered to as the "poor man's spider" which is such a ridiculous statement. :colbert:
It is my understanding that while a pearl is a "fatal gene", that when paired with another morph, this is not the case. My goal with my pairings is to get some Woma het Hypos, in persuit of some hypo womas. SO excited to see what the woma gene does with hypomelanism. :please::banana:
I hope to see you turning out some Super Pastel Womas!!!
EDIT: OH! I purchased my woma from BHB as well. :)

Re: Woma Pastel
Do Womas have the "Spider wobble" or the spins?
If not, I would think they would be a superior morph to the Spider, not a lesser, since they entail no physical defects as a result of lineage.

Mine has a severe wobble, but I think it's a fluke and not representative of the morph.

I've noticed that my male woma will 'spin' like the spiders do if he gets wound up, so I bbelieve that womas and spiders are quite closely related genetically, which would account for the patterning as well.

Re: Woma Pastel
I'm looking yb granite for her. If I can't found I'll breed her to a pewter.

Very nice! The Woma is a very underappreciated morph.
