Solid water bowls...
Can someone point me to where I can buy good water bowls for my ball pythons. Perhaps the ceramic heavy type, etc?.
Thanks,
Brandon

Re: Solid water bowls...
pet stores sells them where the dog bowls are for about 3-5$. Also my dollar store carries 8oz ceramique ones now that are perfect and heavy for 1$. I bought up an entire case LOL.
Check all the local dollar stores near the pets stuff and see if they have it.

Re: Solid water bowls...
i went to walmart the other day looking for things to get and saw some really thick heavy pastic ones in the animal secton that only cost me about 2.50 a piece.

Re: Solid water bowls...
The croc ones? Yeah I took all those out from my snake tubs, everyone was knocking them over. I grabbed some ceramic dog food and water dishes that dont really fan out or anything toward the top and they're all fantastic.

Re: Solid water bowls...
Brandon I use these from the midget size for babies to the large cs-4 sizes for my breeder females

Crock style are so nice if I hadn't got a super price on all these (and I mean all as I can fill 4 more racks with all the extras) I would take you up on the offer and as for tipping I have had minimal tipping but if it starts happening I will go a different route

Re: Solid water bowls...
Heres a picture of the ones i just bought a case of from my dollar store. I was tired of paying 5$ for the crock ones compared to these 1$ ones. They do have decorations on them as their ment for cats and dogs but hell they do the job.

You get those for $1? I checked four different dollar stores in my area and didn't find anything like that. I did that last month, maybe I should make another round because I'm sure things change often.
I'm going to order a whole bunch of the Van Ness plastic crock dishes to cut doorways in and use as hides. Maybe I'll try that as water dishes for awhile, but they seem like they're too tall versus their weight, and therefore easy to tip as some people have experienced. They are pretty cheap, maybe I can just cut the height down but they're still tapered outwards. That might work though...
I would really like to find some shallow ceramic straight sided dishes that are cheap though.

Re: Solid water bowls...
I just placed an order for 100 Van Ness plastic crock dishes for $167 shipped. I got a variety of the five sizes CS1-CS5. I haven't found any straight side ceramic bowls for a decent price because google sucks, so I may try to use these as I will have more than double what I need.

Re: Solid water bowls...
Here's what I use. I get them from IKEA, they only come in black now, can't get the green color any more. But they're wicked cheap and are pretty sturdy. Only problem is that I have one bp that is 1200g but thinks he can fit underneath it. So he was always crawling underneath and spilling water. He gets a heavy ceramic bowl. But with everyone else, they get these. Work great and have no problems.
And they're only 50¢.

For smaller snakes, they can double as a hide:

Re: Solid water bowls...
Not as cheap as the dollar store, but not that bad of a price if your dollar store don't have them. Check out this site.
