Just a few pics of the Las Vegas Show

Spent a whole lot of time (but no money!) at the Las Vegas show today, and snapped a few pics while I was there. Forgive the bad camera and the bad photography skills. :oops:

I didn't catch what type of monitor this guy is, but he was ENORMOUS and too cool for words.

This gorgeous girl was with Tom over at the Python Dreams table. I didn't get the sticker in the pic, but I think she was an Epic Pastel Crystal. Someone correct me if I'm wrong...she was absolutely stunning in person.

It was a small show, and maybe not all I hoped for, but I got to meet some great people, and see some nice reptiles. I think I might even be starting to get a fondness for geckos, and I didn't think that would ever happen. :banana:

I thought about going to that show (In SF Bay Area) but I have to write an 8 page essay this weekend. I will however go to the Southern California show on Jan 9-10. Till then I need to get off here and finish this paper!

I love going to shows, and seeing the pics.. thank you for posting them. Makes me hate living in the middle of nowhere..... Was fortunate enought to drive 12 hours one way to go to pheonix show, was wishing i could have gone to vegas....

jjmitchell, I lived in Clovis from 2002-2005, so I know exactly what you're talking about. About the best you can hope for is that someone might put something together in Lubbock or Amarillo. You think the SW would have more reptile shows. :confused:

The monitor is a water monitor or salvator monitor. Great shots looks like it was a fun time

Did he tell you it was a Nile? They are never usually that tame(Ornates can be), and Big Gunns is 99.9% sure it's a Water.

I do remember someone saying something about it being a Nile while I was snapping pics, and remarking how much tamer it was than they usually are, but I don't know who said it. I was concentrating on trying to get tongue shots. :D

My boyfriend wants asked me why people even want monitors that get that big, and Beardies are great, so friendly and loving, they're very laid back.

Some people like there lizards big. I ask the same thing for people that keep tiny snakes and lizards I remember the first time I held a baby corn and a crested gecko I couldnt enjoy the moment because I was terrified my finger was going to slip and crush the poor thing. They seem so fragile

To be honest, BG doesn't care what Sam says, that's a Water and BG wants it..... if it's a male. It kinda looks like it has a long slender neck though, so it may be a girl. Ask anyway, BG is interested.:gj: Ask soon for BG girl....thanks.
