    does my snake have scale rot he shed on thanksgiving and i was handling him i noticed that on his mid body he had almost looks like lil air bubble in a Lil area is that shed??
    or should i do something i checked hid belly its pearl white with a Lil bit bit of black specs on one part and he looks kind of dull first couple of days after he shed he was really bright

    Could you maybe take a picture? I haven't heard of that before.

    Are the black speckles just the snakes pattern or are they new?

    OK they look like clear scales with no color only in the middle and towards the tail on his black mark looks like right on the like faded light brown he dint have a bad shed the shed was perfect not broken or any thing i cant take pics =/

    its my first snake so i mite be paranoid iv had him for about 2 months
    so far iv thought he was hydrated had a pooping problem r.i and now scale rot
    he dint have Ir waste of money on vet when he shed he pooped and i caught him drinking water so so far iv Ben wrong 3/3 times

    unless you see scales begin browning I don't think there isa concern for scale rot. If the snake isn't sitting in its own waste or stting in water all the time then there is no reason for it to get scale rot.

    thank you Kaorte UV Ben a great help he docent sit in his poop lol or in water bowl thank you i do need help feeding he always eats buy hes almost 2 feet im still feeding rat pups i don't thinks hes ready for a mice where i live they only sell frozen pinkys n pups mice are live

    Does it look different than the rest of the scales round about it?

    What are you using as a substrate - and how damp is it.

    Does it look anything like the pictures in this thread?

    nope the belly is not pink brown or yellow and his eyes aren't blue he shed like a week ago so there normal looking no pink scales on side either he does in the galley pictures u see how there is like clear scale its something like that going on in the middle of the side of him just a lil looks like clear scales only thing that worry's me is that is that left over shed should i do something in galley photos that poop snake was cover in that stuff myn just has like one spot with that clear scale thing

    something like that but only in like 3 spots max not covered like that snake was it cant be shed he just shed perfectly not in pieces can they shed again that quick his eyes aren't fogged up tomorrow im gonna have to get my hands on a camera
