Any Going to Charlotte Repticon Show?

I am going to go up to Repticon on January 9th and 10 to see whats going on and how big the show is. The Columbia show was pretty cool and had some good vendors, but I've heard the Charlotte show is just getting bigger every time. Anyone else going to check it out?

i saw some of fatboys stuff at SC, and talking about writting checks, lol my checks would bounce higher than a ball.

Im going to be there check it out, i went to the one in Columbia, SC and that one was pretty cool so im hoping the charlotte will be the same if not bigger.

Yeah columbia was a good show and i met some great people. I also spent a lot more money than i needed to, but thats the name of the game with expos. I loved the fact that almost the whole back half of the Columbia show was basically HOTS and large snakes. Hope Charlotte is just as good.

Why because its illegal without a permit?

We'll be there, plenty of rodents and a few snakes :O

you can have hots, but can not sell them in NC, yea weird right, same as turtles, can have them here, but can not buy them. and as far as i know you dont need a permiit, in NC, i've asked several breeders and they said you dont need a permit

If anyone else is going to be at the show and has Dumbo rats for sale, please send me a PM and let me know what table to look for and what your business is called. This show should be pretty good and the turnout seems to be looking good as far as a fairly new venue is concerned.

My daughter and I will be making the 2 1/2 - 3 hour trip on Saturday morning with a short detour to Bojangles. We've been to the Columbia show, but not the Charlotte one.

They scheduled it strategically the day after payday too. :) The wife knows this and is still letting me go unsupervised...that's consent/approval to buy right?

We just got back, it was pretty good I thought, better than the show in Raleigh last Sept. There were a lot of Ball Pythons, Boa, Cornsnakes, Kingsnakes and Milksnakes.

I was tempted by some baby Black Milksnakes, but there would have been no living with the wife. Don't really have the room anyways...

i made the last hour, by the grace of god, picked-up a bull snake and a mexican pine snake, impulse buys, but I had made up my mine on getting 2 snakes, so hade tubs ready, IMO, it kinda sucked compaired to last charolotte show, but i guess its not season, A LOT of big snakes, condas, big boas, burms and retic for sale, guess the ban spooking some sellers. as stated not the best, but a sucky reptile show is better than no show, but its seems half the vendors from the repticon page didn't show up

So that was below average for the Charlotte Show? That was my first time there, I figured it would not be as good as a summer show with a lot of new hatchlings for sale.

It was a good show with some good morphs, but yes it was lacking because people are waiting for clutches to incubate or for their gravid females to produce eggs. In March and April and May we will have great shows and A TON of snakes to choose from. A lot of people are breeding this year and we can expect to see some really nice stuff come this spring/summer.

The last 2 times at this expo has been disappointments and I wont be making any more to Charlotte. Waste of a 2 hour drive for me. :rage:

The show was a little disappointing there were not a lot of vendors as I would have hoped. The Raleigh show is much bigger than what this was with more selection, and a lot closer for me.

There were some nice snakes there, and got to meet a few Bp.net folks at the show. I signed my petitions and letters for our senators with USARK, and signed up for Natpet as well.

Finally we picked up a beautiful female Mojave, and a bag of Aspen.

I hope to see more of you at the show in Raleigh in May.

I'm really irritated, for some reason I thought this show was next weekend. I even have the weekend off because I like to go both days. I like to show up sat first thing in the AM to grab my must haves and scope out the show, then I come back for the last few hours of sunday for the deals on the animals I want but don't HAVE to have. Oh well, guess I'll be at the show in Raleigh.

Depending on how the year turns out for me I may have a table at the next charlotte show, just depends what I have and how much I'm willing to get rid of.
