    Is this a pastel??
Usually it's pretty clear to me what a normal vs pastel looks like, but this one is confusing... one picture looks like a normal, but the other looks like a pastel! Just curious, even though I probably wouldn't get him - maybe if it were a female, but I have no use for a normal OR pastel male. Anyway, here's the ad: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/pet/1465369585.html

It's two different snakes, the patterns are not the same.

That's exactly what I thought. I was looking at the neck pattern then the overall pattern and I noticed the first one is reduced.

Craigslist has been contacted to let them know it appears to be a questionable ad asking $50 for a BP but clearly shows two different snakes in the pictures (according to the experts here at BP.NET :gj: )

I know you said you didn't want it but there may be someone else that may love them so much they fall for a scam, so better that CList gets to check it out.

The more people that flag the listing the quicker it will get investigated. Just thought I would pass that along in case anyone else doesn't want a snake lover to be scammed.

One thing I have noticed in scam adds is the poster always wants a "good home" for the animal. They tend to focus the add around that to reel in those who think they will be doing some poor animal a favor.

I thought the pictures looked awfully different! :D Thanks guys... I think it was a good idea to flag, just in case he is pulling a scam.

I am glad im not the only one, that is definatly 2 different animals. Bottom pic I would say is a pastel the other no..... Seems strange enough that if it was important to me that it was a pastel I would walk from it. I am weird though walked from a deal on some het animals when the gentleman told me he also had some cinnimon black pastels, I asked which is it he told me they were the same thing the only difference was the name, after that just didnt think i could trust him.... Dont know if he was trying to deliberatly deceive me or just didnt know either way I lost intrest

Just wondering... how do you scam someone on a trading site that basically requires an in-person meet to exchange goods?

That said, neither pic looks pastel to me!

For sure its 2 different specimens, the pic on the left has coloring not of a normal form what i see, the one on the right looks more like a normal.
the fact that the guy has 2 pics, of different animals for that sketches me out, not sure why he would do that, but it does seem fishy.

I see a lot of people on craigslist who just use random images because they are too lazy to take a picture of their own... after all, they are just trying to "rehome" their normal ball python for $50, why bother putting any effort into it it's already 30 bucks cheaper than the pet store!!!!!

Definitely 2 different snakes. I just looked at the first 3 markings behind each head...

I'm thinking this is probably the story... because like others have said, there's no reason/way to scam anyone in this situation. It just doesn't make sense, considering the low price and in-person meeting. If he was selling it as a pastel, I'd be more suspicious, but this is probably just a lazy person. Why bother posting a picture at all, though?? :confuzd:
