    New Monster in Fla.
I just read this article and, of course, at least one expert had to suggest it might be a burm or anaconda, which got me thinking. Can they live in salt water?

And he knows it's dangerous...how? Just because he doesn't know what it is?

I will never understand people who hate the unknown.

They found some shark in some lake or river they were looking for once. Atleast I think it was monster quest.

Sadly fear of the unknown is human nature. Also this urge to destroy anything different.

i just saw a sasquatch! it was like 40 feet tall! it had a collar on....come to think of it....it might have been a german shepard!

this was probably a big gator. its funny down here now a days! on the news the other night, there was a snake on a roof. it was a black racer....but it made the news! there was also another story about another black racer.....it was at least 10 feet (sure)...on someones front porch.

disregard all reptile stories with the orgins of florida or china. they are all fake in one way or another.

Ya, but truthfully everyone knows bull sharks go up river. Its like going in a tree to find a monkey. Nothing amazing.

Its so funny how little people really know about snakes. He claims the "monster" was around 30 feet. How many 30 foot burms or condas do you see even in captivity on a perfect feeding schedule and in optimal conditions. And then watch the video. A snake essentially playing in the water? That doesnt happen. Snakes are in the water for only a few reasons. Its either in the water like a conda waiting for something to eat or there going through it to get some other place. A snake wouldnt make such a disturbance on the surface of the water. Its just complete ignorance. Just like the officials said, its probably just a manatee or dolphin, not a serpent.

An excellent swimmer, it has even been reported far out at sea and has consequently colonized many small islands within its range.

says wikipedia about the reticulated , and since it grows about 28feet , couldn't be someone released him there? just a tought lol

I think if I was a 78 year old retired engineer who's never done so much as look at a snake, I would probably be worried myself. Put yourself in his shoes for a minute and think about it.:)
