    Artsy Fartsy...
Playing with new equipment- this isn't my usual style but I thought it was kind of cool.

    Set up for this one:

Hand held Speedlite 580exII with Lumiquest Big Bounce diffuser to the left of the snake.
Flash triggered with Opteka TTL Flash Cord.
Shot on black velvet in a room with the lights off.

Awww man! I LOVE that shot. I've said it before - you really should consider turning some of these into posters and marketing them. I've got a series you did last year up as my screensaver at work - I may have to change to this second one - it's so cool!

Those are just stunning. If you vend at reptile expos, you should have some of those in frames backing up your table. If you vend at art / photography shows, you should have 'em right out front!

    Spinner, right?

I really like the way you got his head and tongue on that shot. What camera do you use?

Thanks for all the nice comments! I will definitely consider making a few prints of these.

Ouroboros: The camera is a Canon 500D aka rebel T1i and yep, he's a spinner. I wanted to use something with spider genes to get the nice light Iris tone.

Thanks again! I hope to have some cool photos coming in December!
