Re: Everyone loves pieds
Well I need a captive bred male green anaconda to replace anakin because he passed away about 2 years ago and I would love to breed cookie. And Im working on adding a pair of hypo het albino and lucy burmese pythons. I would also LOVE to get a pair of het butterscotch burms from gulf coast reptiles in florida. Theres beliefs that the butterscotch might actually be a dwarf morph but we will not know for sure until some more breedings with them but the mother has never grown over 7 feet and I cant remember exactly how long gulf coast has had her but its been years. I was going to add some more reticulated pythons but im not sure im going to focus alot of attention on retics I do plan to breed oskar and trixie but im really wanting to start working with some smaller snake species also. Although I would love a pair of caramel retics someday

Wow sounds like you got some big plans for the future. When you get the Lucy Burms, you HAVE to take pictures. I've seen a Lucy Retic (I think it was a Retic) on a video from PrehistoricPets and it was gorgeous, so I'm definitely looking forward to seeing some pics of a Lucy Burm.
I only have some simple plans for next year, and that is to breed Candice (normal) with Rusty (Spider). I hope to get a Pinstripe and a Pastel by next year, too. I'm going to try to work with a lot of those basic morphs, and maybe some recessives in the future. But my main focus for right now is Spiders, Pins, and Pastels. In the future I may breed some recessives like Axanthics, Pieds, Ghosts, and Albinos. By then I think those recessives will be really low LOL.:D

Re: Everyone loves pieds
I believe brad johnston has a lucy burm for sale on kingsnake. He produced two males this year.

Wow, I'm seriously going to go look up those lucy Burms LOL.
The Axanthic morphs are super cool, and if I do get a Pied and Axanthic in the future I'm for sure going to try to make Axanthic Pieds:D:D
I'm not really interested in making all of these different combos and such, I'm more into just producing the morph itself rather than a combo. I guess I'm just an old school person? LOL:)

LOL very true. I just like the basic morphs more than combos. Yeah, combos are nice, but it's the basic morphs that really get my interest.

Re: Everyone loves pieds
I dont even know what most of the combos are. Theres SO many different ball python morphs and so many combos of all of them. I would KILL for a pastel burm to come out lol

I used to have a burm and had to get rid of her because of a baby on the way. If I can get a burm that doesnt outgrow 7-10 feet I want in!

im not 100 percent sure on the going rate at the moment theres not a whole lot of people working with them but I can try to find out and let you know. Just very careful about who you buy from there are alot of people out there that are breeding there burms when the burms are still relativly small and labeling htem as dwarf burms and charging upwards of 1000 dollars for them that is a bogus add. As of this moment there are no 100 percent dwarf morphs out there yet. Beardens burms has some half dwarf morphs but im sure some of them could still reach potentialy large sizes. I have a buddy that just picked up a dwarf and ill message him and ask what the going price now is for them. Hopefully that butterscotch proves out to be a dwarf species. Just down get screwed over by people trying to make a quick buck labeling there burms as dwarfs becuase they have small adult burms. Because either thee are just breeding them to early or they dont feed there burms right

Now THAT would be AWESOME. On Kingsnake I was looking at Burms and I came across this baby Hypo... Wow.. I don't think I've liked any big snakes more than I do right now LOL:D
Hmm.. what if there was a Pied Burm...:O
-
Re: Everyone loves pieds
I know theres a pied retic or there was a pied retic not sure if its still around or not I think either mike wilbanks or bob clark has it. The hypo burms are AMAZING! you have got to see them in person to truly see there colors and how outstanding they really look. They practically glow in your hands. I actually drool over them at the shows lol
