    Happy Vets' Day:D

My dad was in the Navy a long long time ago, so I guess he's a Veteran? He has veteran plates on his car too.

I Have Lots Of Family In The Service....

Dear Lord, maker of heavens above earth and sea below hear our prayer for the men and women of the United States Army as they answer their Country's call to serve, defend, and protect all we hold dear. Accept their sacrifices of time, energy, effort, blood, life. In times of peace and in times of strife be with them and with their families, loved ones who they want to be with but must leave ... our Nation to serve and defend. Give them hope, peace, joy without end, and bless America with Your Grace and Love.

(I Did Not Write This, Its a Prayer)

I was thinking of you today. Happy Veterans Day! Hubby was in the Navy awhile ago too. (I think it's Applebees which is giving free meals to veterans today.)

Well being a vet, and being from a military tradition family...
THANK YOU FOR Recognizing all that we former, and active military do to try to help keep every body safe.
From drug busts, terrorists, search and rescue, peace and of course the peace keeping and war over in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I was in the Navy active for 4 yrs, then 4 reserve, working on P-3 Orions- Sub Hunters, mine sweeper. My family is active in the Navy and has a tradition of Air Force, Army, and my husband is a former active Marine.

    Thank you!

Granddad was Army, pops Air Force, and I followed suit same exact AFSC(MOS) as pops even working in the same unit he was once the Superintendent of.

Too bad I couldn't get that applebees dinner, but I'll be back in the states soon enough. Hope you other vets enjoyed the day/dinner and everybody else enjoyed the day off and reflection on where it comes from.
