Names...
I want to hear the crazy, unique, cute and even the down right stupid names people have for their pets, not necessarily just BPs, and if there is a story behind the name feel free to tell it.
Personally I don't have much of a stake in this topic, my first bp was 'Charlie' and now I have 'Sammy', so I don't have much in the way of interesting names. Although I do have a cactus named 'Fluffy'...
Anyway, enough about me, lets see what you guys have!

Re: Names...
well I base my snakes snakes off of anime charaters I have been toying with the ideal of calling my butter ichgo( Spellnig?) from bleach and the pinstrip kenoisha(spelling?) then when I get either a female another bleachh char for her name. I already got my pieds named ( hets are eureka and renton ) and the pied will be the operator of the THE end ( begins with an A and I can say it off the top of my head. )
Now my niece can mom call theboa I got big mama.. I had her as arescue since she was about 3-4 ft long and mom had not seen her since then and I brought her out about 3 year after cause at the time mom was not keen on the ideal of large snakes) My niece walks in as I bring the snake out, and both of them are gonig wow that a big mama of a snake. so they call her big mama now instead of slim.
I let my nieve name another rescue ( end up nameing 2) cause they had not been named and the one had a bullwinkle like moose shape on it so we call it moosey and she called the othe one peaches ( cause my niece was eating a peach and th snake was interested in ti tongue flicking out like mad. ) SO that name stuck .
I got a corn called hudine( the escape artist) caus he was in my care less than 24 hours and managed to get out the tank by climbing the probe wire and get from one end of the trailer ot the other without getting seen, eaten, by 23 cats ( mom had a bunch of kitten dropped off at the time ) 3 adults ,2 kids and a 3legged dog. Only to screw up and slither accross mom feet as she gets ready for bed..

Re: Names...
The only snake I own with a unique name (to me) would be my Kingsnake, Steve. I named him Steve after Steve Irwin. Steve Irwin is why I love snakes, so I named a snake after him. If it wasn't for Steve Irwin, well, I wouldn't even be on this forum. Actually, I don't even know how my personality would be. I think liking snakes and reptiles kind of got me to become sort of a tom boy LOL.. I can't ever see myself being a girly girl:D

Re: Names...
I named my lemon pastel after Lemony Snickets, a series of unfortunate events. I wanted to name her something that had to do with Lemons (Because I LOVE lemons in general) After warhead and a few others were thrown out Snickets just stuck! At first it was Miss Snickets, but Snickets is easier to say in passing.
Omicron was named after the greek alphabet. It's the letter before Pi, and since he's a het pied, my BF named him that! (He's a mathematics nerd)
That's all I got!

Re: Names...
@illini4x4: i love doja :]
@angllady2: i was thinking of using names from princess mononoke too!
but i ended up naming my baby girl ghost, dahlia... which is perfect because it supposedly means "gentle; slender branch, tendril".

is that a pic of him in your avatar? lol!

Re: Names...
My snakes are named after gods and goddesses, figures from folklore, and fictional characters...lol.
This results in a few names that cause people to just look at me, with that expression of slightly pained confusion.
Such as "Ngalyod".

Re: Names...
Normal Male: Tryton (from the Disney movie the Little Mermaid; back then I didn't realize the importance of hides and I just thought he "loved" his water bowl--he was my first snake).
Normal Female: Azrielle (angel of wrath-fitting for a snake? LOL)
Normal Female: Chloë (I just liked the name)
Normal Female: Spaz (she was the biter in the clutch, and when she was semi-tamed, she'd still bite sporadically)
100% Het Albino Male: Alchemy (the mythological term of turning lead into gold, and he had the albino gene to produce gold and white babies)
100% Het Albino Male: Algol (something about a star eclipsing another star, causing periodic brightness--again, fitting I thought for a snake that could produce some light-colored babies and some darker ones)
100% Het Albino Female: Albionne (albion means "white cliffs" or "white peaks" in gaelic, again, fitting for some offspring being whate and gold--but I feminized this for a female snake)
Spider Male: Mushu (from the Disney movie Mulan--Mushu was the little dragon that had quite a personality, just like my spider did, so I thought it was apporpriate)
Orange Hypo Female: Siennah (sienna means "orange" in Italian)
Lesser Female: Maleficent (again from a Disney movie: Sleeping Beauty--my lesser has a lot of "flames" on her sides that I hope she'll retain; Maleficent often had flames around her in the movie)
Cinnamon Ringer: Megara (Disney movie Hercules, Megara was a bit of an oddball in a way, and the ringer on my girl was a bit odd)
That's it . . . can you tell I loved Disney movies as a kid, and still do? LOL

Re: Names...
okay. our dog's name is fonzy (he's a rescued pit/terrier mix), and my snakes names are kapo (Goddess of the South Pacific), Kiha (Goddess of Maui), Laka (Goddess of Hula), Hiaka (Mountain God on Kauai), Kane-Hekili (God of Thunder, also Pele's brother), and Kapohaikahiola (spirit of Explosions)...i had a bit of an obsession with hawaii for awhile, my husband is actually hawaiian. anyway. three more names, Aiden, Alice, and Lee. all three from my friend samantha, alice was named after the character in resident evil, and aiden and lee are just names picked out of thin air. last two names, Jambi and Orestes, are because i recieved them awhile back when my ipod was broken and i was dying to listen to MJK. :D
