I HATE You Guys!!!!

I just have to say, I hate living in Canada. Don't get me wrong it's nice and all but there's just big problem. Maybe this might help without me explaining it.3

Usa: Spider Ball: 125-225 Canada: Spider 325-400
Usa: Pastel Ball: 60-160 Canada: Pastel 130-225
Usa: Mojave Ball 225-350 Canada: Mojave 400-600

Now do you get why I am mad and upset:confused: It bothers me so much because I think I have 500 cash to spend, what could I spend it on? Maybe a Mojave and Pastel? But if I live in Usa and I have 500 cash I could be like I would like 2 Pastels 1 Mojave 2 Spiders and maybe 6 Normals. Its crazy the amount we have to spend to get cheap morphs like the Spider.

Oh.....Just to let all the Usa members know. I don't really hate you;)

See.. We dont actually want our prices to be so low. Thats why he said he hates us too. (or she.. lol didnt look)

The crazy low prices actually hurts the reptile economy. The hobby as a whole. Most of us are hoping if the economy stablizes soon, that it will help the reptile prices here as well. They may not go up but they need to stop dropping so much and so fast.

Ya if it wasnt for cites, Id be getting a few brought in but unless you are making a big order its easier to just shop in canada. I do hate the clasifieds here, I keep seeing so many great deals but never take anything serious since half the time people dont have it listed where they are located, So you go through the hassel of msging them and waiting for a responce just to find out they are in the states. Now all your excitement of possibly getting a great new snake is shattered. So now I dont bother looking at classified adds since I have yet to see one where the seller states they are in canada.
Since this is a world wide forum and there are alot of canadians on it could a new rule be added to the rules of the classifieds that the seller must indicate where they are shipping the animal from?

I see spiders usually around 300-325 in the US.
Depends on the breeders.

I think its safe to say that the pastel price is here is usually what it is in canada too. Except some exceptions of small breeders just trying to make a buck, with their light brown pastels.

no? I mean very low quality pastels that they sell for like $50...
all the nice/decent ones ive seen are in the range he suggested for canada.

My normal was $20 :P

just how many ppl can not grasp the fact that who needs 20 spiders or pastels especially males? really look around just about every breeder has them and yet they are still producing them. what do you think is going to happen when everyone that wants a spider or pastel already has one?
even then what is going to happen to every other morph eventually?
a few years ago someone came on here asking what to get to start breeding and just about every one that replied said spider,pastel,mojo,lesser males and a few adult females. a few told them to get female morphs, which is the way to go. right now if your not producing combos your not really going to move much like it was 2 years ago.

right now ill tell you the same thing as before morph females especially supers and combos. i wouldnt buy a single gene male unless i didnt have one or its something that i need for a combo i want.

i was asked about what purpose i have for a bumble bee mojave well gee lets see... a 3 gene animal when bred to a normal gets what? how about the fact that now i dont need to have a spider, pastel, mojave, bumble bee males....while ppl are still working on 2-3 gene animals im well on the road to 4 and 5 gene combos, all along the way making a few single morphs and stuff to sell as i go.

This is why I've made a point that every single gene animal I acquire must be a female, even if it's a super, with the exception of some of the WAY higher end morphs.

I am on a Waiting list for the first Female '10 Snow from Brian Sharp, he was surprised that I wanted a Female, but the truth is morph Males can be "out ranked" in just 1 season, where as a Female, even a single gene morph, is ALWAYS worth having.

EXACTLY!! Which is why my collection consists of many of the less common morphs and a couple double co-doms. I got my Pastel male over a year ago but he's has held his color very well. Barely any browning out, but he isnt being bred this year because i have nothing that would make it worth my while to breed a pastel male to.

I just got lucky & was able to actually invest a fair amount of money in my snakes to ensure i wasnt getting the same thing everyone else is overproducing. Im even considering investing in a couple more hight end hets like caramel albino and clown.

Our prices are as low as they are because there are so many people & "kids" that just want to breed a snake because its cool. Thats not right people. Thats just like a puppy mill breeder.

Ive even seen people on here flat out say they are not interested in buying morphs because they only want to breed normals... Why??? Go to petfinder.com and do a search for snakes. There are too darn many unwanted normals that end up in rescues as it is.

No we dont want our prices to keep falling but if people dont stop breeding just cuz its cool and they want to see it and be able to incubate some eggs and somehow they think they will make money as well.... Go get some chicken eggs.. Its just as cool.
