Each egg would have a 25% chance of being an ivory.

ok because i just found a guy selling his pair for 600 u guys think that is a good deal and what do u get if u breed the female to a Mojave ?
Re: yellow belly x yellow belly ? questions
You could theoretically get a clutch of all normals from this pairing. Your odds would be just as good as getting an entire clutch of ivories. :)
If you breed a mojave to a yellowbelly, here's what you get:
25% normal
25% yellowbelly
25% mojave
25% mojave yellowbelly

That depends on how old they are. If they're a proven breeding pair, that's pretty cheap. If they're a pair of hatchling's then that's pretty expensive.
To see what the average would be to produce an Ivory. Take two quarters and flip them both at the same time. Imagine that every time they both come up heads, that's an ivory. Every time they both come up tails, that's a normal. And every time they come up with one of each, that's a yellowbelly. Now do this a bunch of times in a row. You might find that you get an Ivory 3 times in a row, or you might find that you don't get one at all in over a dozen trys. But what you will find, is that the more times you flip your coins the closer the total number of an 'Ivory's' will be to 25% By the time you've flipped your coins a thousand times, you should be pretty close to around 250 Ivories.

you could also get really lucky and get all ivories.
600 is a good deal as said above if proven

the female is proven but he only hatched 3 out of 4 eggs and none were ivory. The male is from "the snake keeper" and is wild hatched out of africa so he is unrelated to any yellow belly in the states so im pretty interested to breed him both have some nice markers ill get some pics up for u guys to tell me what u think they are both at the 1500 gram mark

$600 seems like a good price to me. Male is probably worth around $200 and the female is worth at least the other $400. Probably a bit more.
Re: yellow belly x yellow belly ? questions
600 isnt bad if they are true yellowbellies. once you have an ivory your chances of making more ivories goes up. i have heard of ppl not getting ivories from a yb x yb pair multiple times before getting one
Re: yellow belly x yellow belly ? questions
ok i think im gonna do it wish me luck on those babies !! lol:please:
