Help My 9 month old Nephew... please?
    Hi everybody,

I hope this is okay to post here. Basically, my sister entered her son in a seasonally-themed 'cute baby' contest. The prize is a Halloween-themed gift basket valued at around $500. Without getting into too much detail, it would be a really awesome thing for her family right now.

Please Click Here, Scroll Down, and Vote for Damon.

If you could spare about 5 seconds, it would be much appreciated.

Thank you! I'll be sure to update on Monday.

I looked through every single picture and thought out of all of them, Damon was absolutely the most adorable. That little hat on him is just darling. :) I was more than happy to vote for him. Hope he wins!

As much as I don;t really agree with the methods, I still agree witht the results. He is the cutest easily followed by JaeLyn. I don't think he can lose now and it's very possible they will relook the voting, but good luck to him anyway! ~Caylan.S.~

I followed it and voted, but because it was a great pic.

Hope this helps your family out. Canvassing for votes is OK, people do it all the time.

All the best to mom and son. Hopefully he gets AT LEAST a mittful of chocolate in that basket. :)

    Hi everybody

Thank you all so much! Your help and support continues to mean a lot. With your help Damon is currently in the lead, but voting continues until Sunday Oct 25th at 11PM, so it is still anybody’s game.

I’m sure you’ve heard this before, but every vote counts!

If you've not voted yet, please do! It only takes a couple seconds and you don't have to sign up for anything. Just click here, select Damon, and vote! It's that easy.

For anybody concerned about canvassing for votes:
Your concern is totally understandable. I’d like to address it with a little more background information.

My sister entered the contest assuming that it would be a little more formal (IE: with official judges) but when she received the confirmation email it mentioned to pass along the web-link to “friends, family, co-workers, blogs” to gain the most votes.

Basically I’m thinking this contest is a ‘grass-roots’ advertising campaign for the publication: get as many people as they can to log on and check out the site. I mean, hey, if that’s what it is then that’s what it is; the prize is still very real, and would still mean a lot to my sister’s family.

Again, I thank you all VERY much for your support!

    Have a great day!

Well, if THAT'S the case and it's just a ploy by the web designers to increase their hit count, I've got several different IP's and MAC addresses that I can vote from so I can vote several times. Yeah, that's probably cheating too, but what the heck.

Re: Help My 9 month old Nephew... please?
    Good news!

It is official... With your support, little Damon has been named the cutest pumpkin in the patch with an über WIN! Voting ended with Damon holding a whopping 140 vote lead over the next highest competitor, causing the contest organizer to comment "I think this was the biggest margin of win we’ve ever had!”

    Darn right!

You can read the official announcement by clicking here.

My sister has phoned several times over the past few days with ‘updates’ on the vote count, and I just got off the phone with her again – she is absolutely ecstatic! This really meant a lot and I can’t thank you all enough.

The prize is a gift basket filled with Halloween-themed goodies courtesy of For All Occasions Gift Baskets.

But more than the physical prize, the bragging rights will last a lifetime. My sister’s family is one of those that go all out for Halloween and I can just imagine Damon, years from now, being told how he was voted the cutest pumpkin in the patch. You can’t put a price tag on that. It will be a cherished childhood memory, and later, a wonderful form of torture when I whip the picture out in front of his friends.

Right now we are all on cloud 9 and you helped elevate us there, so, again, thank you thank you!!! Happy Halloween to one and all!
