Seriously? Okay, I get it when some people ask but you dropped some serious cash, it would do you some good to read up on the basic genetics.

    Hi,

Have you read the genetics sticky?

Not only does it have lots of great info by itself there are links at the bottom that would help you learn more.

Once you get used to the basics you can combine traits in the genetics calculators to work out most of the combos almost instantly. :gj:

    Calculator 1.

    Calculator 2.

The first one is more flexible but the results take a bit of decyphering. :D

He keeps asking the same questions over and over again.

If you dropped enough money to buy a new car on an 'investment' you knew nothing about dont you think people would tell you the same things? I fear for the health of the collection he purchased.

Every person you talk to, chat with, post about on a message board is either:

    A. Someone you will never meet or deal with again.
    B. A potential future customer.
    C. A potential future friend.

I was not born with an inherent knowledge of snake genetics. I asked questions.

If you made a major investment into it, would you not want to understand your investment first?

No offense merdcme, I hope you do very well, but if I had spent the same kind of $ you did, I'd be reading as much as I could before I started asking questions like that. This community isn't as large as you think it may be.

And everyone who gets into this hobby does their research. Some start out with hatchlings and raise them up to get a grasp of the husbandry and the skills needed to keep the amazing creatures alive. Others start small with breeding normals with basic co-doms.

Know the ins and outs before taking on such a huge collection, I am not questioning his intelligence merely his lack of research before delving into this 'investment' without doing the proper research and knowing at least the basics first.
