Co-worker of mine saw it on Saturday and said he felt as though he wasted his money. He said it had only like 3-4 points in the movie that gave him a jolt (not even a scare) and that it was boring, but he did say it messed with his sleep cycle a few times that night

I usually judge scary movies by how I sleep the next night and yeah... um I was freaked. Couldn't fall asleep and when I did my dog kept waking me up and any noise the cats made gave my heart a jolt.

It was slow for a while and the motion of the camera started to get to me but the rest of the weekend I had all the lights on and I was pretty jumpy. But that's why I love horror movies!

Oh, and I was hiding in my coat for most of the ending LOL!

I went to chipotle to pick up some lunch to go the other day.

The guy making my burrito was going nuts telling me how awesome the movie is and how much I should see it. Seems like the kind of movie I'd enjoy :D

I'm just a movie guy in general, I love watching movies. I love the whole process from buying tickets to getting popcorn to the previews and everything through the credits. I have yet to see a movie I feel I wasted money on.

That movie was SO scary! My friend and I were so freaked out by it that I stayed over at her house that night. It was extra scary for us because in november we're going to the stanley hotel (the shining) to do a "ghost hunt". I know it's gonna be in the back of my mind the whole time. I don't believe in ghosts (yet) but now I'm apprehensive, to say the least. XD

I was actually mildly disappointed. I get really freaked with movies like the Ring or the Grudge but I didn't think this was scary (I really enjoy watching A Haunting on the discovery channel and to me that's much creepier with the narrator and the little girl voice)

I think I'm one of those people that need a visualization of the haunting. =/

I was giggling near the end and this one girl behind me was so passionate, she said "It's not funny, watch this happen to you tonight, -bleep-" =(

I thought it was terrifyingly brilliant! Saw it yesterday, didn't get much sleep last night either.

NOTE: if you are paranoid and have dealt with ghosts..you may want to rethink watching this movie. Just saying.

I saw it, though there was a few jumpy parts, and plenty of creepy parts, I was bored through most of the movie and got plently of sleep that night. Its interesting that there were no Credits at the end.

I havn't seen this one yet but i usually find the ones that are more gory, more "scary" and freaky. IM sure i'll probably jump a couple times when i do see this one because i have a hell of a startle response but that doesnt mean its scary. I'll get back to ya when i see it :)

Now if you want creepy and gory, and dont mind subtitles, the one to see is Frontier(s). Its a french made horror/gore film. Got great ratings at the film festival too. That one made me cringe.

Apparently 85% of the world's population believe in ghosts, so it sounds like a smart marketing ploy. It cost about 11k to make, and I think it’s taken in somewhere around 19million already.

I also thought "blair witch" when I saw the trailer.

The reviews I've seen, especially those on YouTube, give it a big thumbs-down.

Perhaps that is why I liked it, but then again I've lived in haunted houses so the movie wasn't that farfetched to me. PS: everything you saw in that movie has happened to real people (or atleast reported accounts that is), the ending of course I doubt has actually happened in real life though, and if it has I doubt there is proof.

I believe its up to 30 million now, it totally massacred the new saw movie. Movieman191 gave it a great review on youtube. He is a new youtuber, but does great reviews.

My hunch is why 85% people like it is the same reason vampire movies are popular they have it everywhere ghost hunters, ghost stories, taps, all kinds of goofy stuff to sell a new fad but hey its all in what you like not me.

I watched it last night and thought it was a waste of time. There were a few cool parts but I mean I could of skipped to the 4 or 5 bedroom scenes and just watched that and been happy the rest was just boring. My favorite part was when the thing dragged her out of bed

I totally want to see this only one problem....my big burly husband who isn't scared of anything ....spent 24 yrs in the military is scared to death of stuff like this. He will walk out of the room if I talk about my old apt.

I didn't believe in stuff like this too too much until I moved into my apt. in Seattle....it was built in 1902 and I saw waaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy to much to not believe. There way crazy crazy stuff that happened...a few ppl were hired to come in and they stated there was 22 different entities. And the whole thing with pets can see it is soooooo true.

If you ever asked me if I would live in a place like that I would say....no way. But at the time...its weird...you just deal with it and hope that nothing crazy bad happens. I still look back on and think...why the heck did I not move!!!!!! Nothin happened to me that was life threatening but some bad things did happen to a couple of other ppl that lived in the apt. complex.

    Crazy stuff.

As a rough-n-tough ghostbuster with a psychic bazooka, I don't find these types of movies and shows the least bit scary. I watch them to laugh at the people in them.

In real situations, half the stuff people assign to spirit activity is really just mundane stuff that happens coincidentally. They get themselves so paranoid that they can't even pick out what's really linked to it, and what isn't.

Exploring hauntings is like a wildlife safari for me, I like to find them in their native habitat, they're kind of cool. ^_^

Myth one: You can't defend yourself.
Of course you can, you just need to learn how. If you aren't very good at it, then call in some help, because there's nothing out there that NO ONE can deal with. There's always someone around somewhere who can take care of it, no matter how big and tough it is. But don't sit around twiddling your thumbs not trying, and then claim you're helpless.

Myth two (the spookier one): Ghosts can't hurt you anyhow.
If it can throw a plate, what can it do to your heart? Common sense. It's much easier just to lull someone's mind into a trance as they approach a red light, though. If they wanted you dead, and you weren't protected, you wouldn't last very long. Obviously most spirits aren't interested in homocide--many of them appear to quite simply be TRYING to scare people. It's probably loads of funny for them, I know it is for me.

I've already wasted enough of my life on this type of move having watched Blair Witch Project. Never would have watched that either if a friend didn't love it and buy it the day it came out on DVD. We watched it to amuse him and have never forgiven him. A bunch of people pretending to be scared on camera isn't entertaining. Maybe they really are scared, but of what, the darkness?

Reminds me of the intro to an old game.

    "I'm casting magic missile."
"Why are you casting magic missile, there's nothing to attack here?"
    "I...I'm attacking the darkness!"
