    Loose BP help please!
So my 550g or so female pastel escaped 4 days ago. I've looked everywhere (she and all my snakes are kept in my room). I've sorta lost hope in actually finding her and hope she just pops up some day soon. I try to keep my door closed to keep the possible area of escape down. But I know she could be anywhere in the house.

I know the basics in that she is going to try and find a tight little place near some warmth and chill there. And my room has both racks in it so that's hopeful.

    Any other advice?

My BP got lose once, but luckily I found him within an hour. After 4 days i'm not exactly sure where to start. Possibly look under the refrigerator? It actually gets really warm under a fridge, that might be a good spot to look.

Maybe even your oven or dryer / washing machine.

Hopefully you find him in good condition. Good luck!

Search the entire house. Look in clothes hampers, under beds, in any boxes. They'll search out someplace dark first, and hot second. So check hot, dark places first. and expand from there. Also try to check durring the day as they'll be less active, and you'll be more apt to find them (wont be changing hiding spots).

Also, make sure to physically move stuff and look in every knook and cranie. I had a snake hide right under my nose (was under my couch) because I didn't physically move stuff around.

you could also try baiting with a live mouse in a cage. She wont want to move around too much after a meal.

yes they will try to find someplace to hide before they go for heat!
try a thin line of salt across doorways. how big of a gap is under the door?

If you don't have any luck finding her, try leaving a scent trail with whatever prey she takes. Drag it around the edges of the room, leading to a nice warm, dark box. Maybe she'll follow the trail, and then decide that she likes her warm secure box...and then you've got her!

I've had one of my BPs get loose about a dozen times. Always ends up in my closet, between my bed and my wall, or under my bookshelf.

One thing he always does, though, is pee on everything when he gets out.

I finally found her! She's back in her cage now. But she was still cruising around when I got her back in. Now I just gave her water, showed
her where it was and now i'm going to leave her alone.

    I am SO relieved!

Mine escaped around a month ago, happened while I was staying at my girlfriend's house. My roommate texted me saying the snake got out, well I dont wake up to texts sooo my roommate did nothing. The BP somehow got on top of my huge bookshelf and knocked over everything he could to tell me he was pissed at me I guess. (he had refused frozen for three weeks)Found him under my desk, had to break the desk to get him out.

He escaped last night while I was home since I changed his setup I thought it could happen, it did... He woke me up and I caught him right away, worked nicely.
