Does Everyone Do This???

Tomorrow is feeding day for my four 08' girls. So I went and got some rats for them last night. When I got home I was setting up the rats in their holding cells ;). And providing them with their last meal. And while looking at them I was deciding who would be fed to my Het Pied girl. I always give her the biggest and best.

Do you have a favorite in your collection that you always make sure gets the bigger meal?

Naaa I got to many favorites..

I always have a wide selection of prey sizes so the biggest snake gets the biggest food and so on all the way down the line. I start with the largest so that in the event of a "DNE" the prey can go to the next largest snake. Of course there is always the occasional mouser.

Ok... let me just say for those of us that don't have tons of snakes. It's a little easier to pick a favorite. :D

No I do have my favorite.. and yes she does get special treatment..Maybe not food wise but she get to hang out more than the others.

Picking favorites is easy. Of course, all I have is Pickles, so... yeah. :D

I use frozen and always pick them of similar size so I dont have this problem.

I use f/t, so I pick the best rats for the girls that I want to get up to size. All of mine eat, but the raise up girls get the most attention!

I feed my females heavier than my males.

Not favoriting, just makin it happen.

I love all of my snakes so I never treat any of them different from the other. :) I've got one little rascal who tends cause problems (keeps pushing the water dish over) but I managed to live with it over time.

But I can imagine that some collectors might have a little gem (favorite/s) who gets extra attention and that's okay in my world. I do the exact same thing just with friends and subjects in law school. Sorry Lars (great friend who sometimes can be annoying)! :oops:

I would even pressume it's normal for most individuals to prioritize between things in life.

Tungsten (VPI Axanthic male) get the bigger f/t rats because I could feed him every day and he would still be thin! :D
