Last week my cars transmission goes out and today by xbox gets the red ring things. lol

RROD!!!!! Oh Noez!!!


Send it in to Xbox they have a program becuase it is such a common occurance, as long as its not modded, they should fix it for free.

just got off the phone with microsoft they are going to fix it for free.

Yea hopefully the car will be fixed by monday we are getting a new transmission tomorrow for it.

That would be great if they sent me a new one. Although my elite isnt even a year old yet.

Yea, I was reading about the three red rings of death. Over 50% of people experience this. It's very sad that they have that many issues with it.

happened to me, then my dad thought the warenty was up, he tryed to fix it and turns out they changed the warrenty to 3 years, psssh

More than likely they will send you back yours with refurbished parts inside. Good luck with it!

Try my month on for size:

Tornado ripped the roof of the house I JUST bought.
Car broke down
Someone got our debit card number and made a huge transaction
Xbox 360 got the red ring of death two days ago

So you can see...could be worse! LOL

Roof - still not fixed completely (needs shingles) due to the following problems!
Car - cost us a pretty penny but was fixed
Debit card - shut off, the company reimbursed us the money, but we're sitting here waiting on a new debit card, so no way to spend money lol.
Xbox - waiting on the label to send it in

But hey...it could STILL be worse. :D Just gotta keep on truckin' and never stop laughing.

My ps3 is nice and everything but I guess I cant get into like xbox I bought it and beat killzone 2 and infamous and havent touched it since. But I guess now since I have to wiat two weeks for my xbox ill be using it

I wonder if they send you a new one do you get a new warranty with it? Just curious. Cus if thats the case thats not too bad of a deal. trade in your old 360 for a brand new one with a new warranty.

Im surprised noone used your serial number, My friends 360 got the red ring and they wouldnt fix it because someone already used his number.

What a coincidence, my 360 just got the RROD last week also. Waiting for parts to come in the mail to repair it now.

My friend got a new Xbox 360 when his got the redringofdeath. New serial number, so I imagine the warrenty is extended as well.

I was a huge fan of PS and PS2, but the PS3 has turned me off quite a bit. Xbox is just where it's at now.

Had a Wii for a while, got bored of it, sold it. Might get another now that they're taking a price drop. Dunno.

Just hope I get the 360 back before Assasin's Creed 2. Because the last thing I want to do is go pick it up just so I can stare at its case.

The only reason I purcahsed a ps3 was for the god of war 3 game. If it wasnt for that and the blue ray which I only have one blue ray dvd I probably would of never bought a ps3.

Yup, God of War and Metal Gear Solid are two games I'd like to get my hands on, and only on PS3.

The BlueRay player is of interest too....guess I'll just have to see how things happen lol.

I actually bought mine in a bundle with killzone 2 and metal gear solid and I still havent even opened metal gear yet

microsoft didnt check the serial of the unit they was repairing,and seen it didnt match that given to them to get the repair?

Killzone 2 any good? And shame on you for not opening Metal Gear! lol

I thought killzone 2 was a pretty good game although I never got to play the first one so I was a bit confused during it lol

People will go into walmart and write the serial number down and send there xbox thats out of warranty into microsoft to get it fixed for free

my xbox broke 3 times ......gave that to my brother and now im a PS3 man

I have had the same 360 for almost 5 years, have never had a problem.

Ours is almost two years old.
