    New Room finally finished!
We finally finished our room this past weekend(kind of, about 98%, we still need to install the sink). Either way, after installing the air conditioner on Saturday, we were able to move some snakes into the room. There are 41 snakes in there now, but in about 4 weeks, it should contain about 225adults, with a bit of room to spare. We do still have to build 5 or 6 racks, but that will come in time. Enjoy the pics:

We made some cool improvements to this room, and it should make it a bit easier to work. Also, after we are fully moved into here, we still have an ARS hatchling rack to move into the old building, and we have toremodel one room, and build the walk in incubator. It is like a project that never ends. I'll keep you guys posted on the next phase of building. And hopefully once it is all done(hopefully by next hatching season) (if it is ever done), I'll post a full set of pictures of our entire facility.

    Sincerely,

Thanks for all of the kind words. This project started in May, and 5 months and $8000 later, we are finally getting to utilize it. I'll take some more pics in about 3 or 4 weeks when it is nearing capacity.

It is the one and same Judy. I have been busting my butt for the last 2 months to get that room finished. It has definitely been a large scale project. The addition of that room brings our total facilty to just shy of 900 sq. ft. I hope I don't outgrow this room.

That is just awesome, and I am totally jealous of you. But I am slowly turning my bed room into a snake room. Doesn't have the same appeal though.

That room makes me think I need to trade in my fish tanks for snake racks.....It will end up about 50/50 for now though.

Thanks for all of the compliments. This is the third snake room I have built. Therefore, I have learned something from everyone of them. The outlets in my first room were at standard height, and I was always fighting to get the Helix plugged in. So, in the second room, I put them on the ceiling above the racks. This worked pretty well, but I knew the new room would have a drop ceiling. So, the next best place if I couldn't put them in the ceiling was to put them on the wall as close to the ceiling as possible. I guess every time you build a room, you wishy something was different, and every time you build the next one, you incorporate your Lessons Learned in there. I think I am going to be very pleased with this room.

i was actually thinking about the ceiling but i foresee that one plug that comes undone and goes unnoticed
