    Quick peek....
There is a local breeder trying to sell this female pastel, but after she sent me pictures it doesn't look like a pastel to me (at least in the first picture). If it is she doesn't look like a very good example (looks more like a pastel in the second picture). What do you guys think?

Yes, the belly pictures show that it's in shed. I would at least ask her to send you after shed pictures before you make your final decision. My pastels look pretty crummy in shed as well.

The pastel was produced by Alan Bechler anyone know if his pastels are high quality or if they brown out? I need to add a female pastel to my collection, and this is a good deal just dont want a poor example.

Yeah, you can tell it's in shed. I bet it looks pretty good not in shed, maybe not as light as you're used to/looking for especially if you're looking for a nice pastel, not just a cheap one.

It's your call, but I'm with Lucas on this one , it's not worth the risk to my other snakes.

    Good Luck there- Deb

The person I am looking to get her from got her in a bundle from Alan. She purchased a female butter from him 2 years ago and she went to breed her this year at 1600g, she kept resisting the male that was paired with her.

She resexed her and popped and probed as a female by several people. She contacted Alan and he had her shipped back to him. He took the Butter to the local University and had her ultrasounded.

The results were that the butter was actually a male with impacted hemipenes. The university kept the snake for research and Alan shipped out 2 female butters and this female pastel to the person I am looking to purchase from.

That sounds like good customer service to me, he may get a bad rap, but sounds like he did right what he could.
