Super Stripe Clutch

Today I finally got to see my brand new Super Stripe out of the egg. The clutch started to pip on Saturday but they didn’t all come out of the eggs until this morning. I have been lusting over one of these ever since I first saw the one Jared Horenstein produced back in 2004. I think it was worth the wait.

The clutch was produced from a Specter to Pastel Yellow Belly breeding. I was a little bummed that I didn’t hit the Pastel Super Stripe but I got my boy on the very first try so I cant complain. Next year I will have two Female Pastel Yellow Belly’s ready to go so maybe I will hit the combo then.

You know it bro! I took him into the sink to wash him off and was just praying while walking that he would pop Male. What a relief to see those two penes pop out. :gj:

does the stripe come from the spectre? is it a super spectre or does the yellow belly gene and the spectre gene just react in a manner that the stripe comes out?

The pastel would have been sweet but I'm sure there was no complaining when that bad boy slithered out.

this is a spectre bred to a pastel yellowbelly. spectre to spectre breeding will not give you this animal. ivories bred to a spectre every snake will atleast be yellowbelly the ones that have the spectre gene will be superstripes as pictured

I am not sure what they will go for this year. I paid $2500.00 for my Male Specter back in September of last year (9/11/08) but he was already at 429 grams in weight. He has sired four clutches for me this year with three more still waiting to hatch.
