4 month old baby has toes chewed off by a puppy

i cant believe they put the puppy to sleep because of this.. EVERYONE knows a puppy with teethe on ANYTHING, its not the poor little dogs fault! They are testing the puppy for rabies,, im sure that puppy doesn't have rabies, it was teething!

can you imagine how that little baby boy must of been screaming and crying??? I have no nice words for the parents and their lack of supervision so I will refrain from saying what I'd really like to say!!

Poor Puppy and Poor Baby... I think the people responsible for both the dog and the baby should be euthanized...

Euthanized? Don't you mean arrested? You can't euthanized humans for something like that.

Same story happened last year except with a 6 week old lab puppy and 2-3 month old baby the lovely parent left in one of those swing chairs. They were "sleeping" in another area of the house apparently while the kid died of blood loss. They put down the puppy there too like it was vicious. Should be allowed to sterlize people like this, I wouldn't let a puppy run unsupervised in my house, much less with a baby around. Seems to be how most "attacks" happen though, idiots parents leaving small kids alone with animals.

I'm all for picking that gun up and going out to put down the stupid people of the world.

Theres just way to many people in the world that should own animals, or have children. But until you have to have a permit to breed, it'll keep happening. -sigh-

Wow, these people sound like real winners... 23 and 20 years old, three children in the house, father is already a wanted felon, the friend they're dog-sitting for is a felon who just went back to jail... the kid may loose a foot, but will hopefully grow up in a better environment than this one.

This is absolutely the most ludicrous thing I have ever heard in my life!!! First I agree with all of you that you should never leave a baby unattended and/or with a puppy alone! Secondly she didn't notice till she was changing the baby's diaper????!!!!! Seriously, child abuse/lock them up/shoot em' whatever! They should not be allowed to have more children or keep the ones they have now.

I am really getting sick and tired of the freakin media and their pitbull and reptile campaigns lately. It's pathetic and really shameful if you ask me.

As for the legislation, several months ago Camp Lejeune banned pitbulls, Rotts, and dobermans from being kept in base housing. Needless to say there was a huge influx at the shelters from those that were turned in or caught by animal control due to being released...

My post was meant to be sarcastic. Referring to all the reptile legislation coming up with bad publicity.


This happened a year or two ago also with a couples ferret eating fingers or toes to a child. What I do not understand is how you would be able to sleep threw an animal consuming your childs toes? I have a 5 year old son and a 2 year old son. And Ive got to tell you once you have children you dont really get the pleasure of ever sleeping in. If my children have a nightmare I can hear them in my room. I understand that dogs are mans best friend but I dont believe you should leave any animal with a child unsupervised. I love my dogs to death and they have never tried to harm my children but I would still never leave any of my dogs with one of kids while I was not in the room or around them.

Thats so sad..... I work in jacksonville thats crazy

I swear.... some people shouldnt have children let alone animals. The poor baby and the poor dog...

Stupid parents/guardians. :( Some people do not deserve to breed or have kids.

Any time now people will start blaming the dog because it is a pit bull. :(
