What was everyone's first bp morph?

Hi, I've had ball pythons for about a year and a half, and recently got my very first morphs yesterday. They really took a bite of change out, but I've been looking forward to getting some ever since I became involved in reptiles.

In addition to my two normals ( V and Valium ) I now have a baby pinstripe named Fetish and a GORGEOUS albino female named Renaissance... and I'm STILL ecstatic about it.

Can any of you more experienced herpers post about how you felt when you got your very first bp morph? thanks.

my first BP morph was a male pastel from graziani reptiles, his photo is on my profile.

When I got my first BP morph, I felt broke. That's because it was a $900 pastel back in 2006.

I haven't had my first actual morph, but I do own two normals. This November I'm getting a female Spider, but if I have money left over I would definitely get a male Pastel.

My first bp was a normal female. But my first morph is this pastel.:)

Fire and a Pastel, and I was actually highly irritated when I got them because (story time)

I was with this girl and she and her friends ended up getting animals, then we went to some island where they hung out all day... I really had no choice in the matter since she was my ride and I was about 20 miles away from home, with no public transport to speak of.

So for about 12 hours we were on this island and they all left their animals in a non-air conditioned/heated house, so I left mine half in the shade, half in the sun during the day and when the night hit I kept them under my shirt to keep them warm. Believe me it was not ideal but it was really all I could do since it was nearly November and getting cold at night.

I finally got them home at around midnight and set them up in tubs inside of a 20g long that had a nice large UTH on the bottom, and they've been doing well ever since.

First BP was a P.Het Albino Girl form the PDX Reptile Expo. First morph was a male craigslist find. Got him and his cage for 70 :gj:

3 Years, this season pastels are worth, what about $100? Last year they were like $150? I'd guess in 2007 they were around $300... and from there hrm I guess $900 does sounds like a lot.

What were the pastel prices back in '06?

My first morph was a spider female in 2006, I could have not been more excited.

My first one was a Pastel male in early 2007.

Not sure about '06, but in '05 I bought 2 female lemons for $2600....and that was a pretty good price at that time.

My first visual morph was an 04 orange ghost male.

My first morph i got today, was a spider male.

My first morph is a 2009 pastel hatchling from BHB.

My first bp Morph is a lemon pastel that i got for 150.

My first morph was way back when when the yb's were really slippin through eveeryones fingers and I actually got it at a pet shop for like 150 at the time. I can't remember what year it was but when I finally figured out what he was I had sold him....... Stupid me... After that it was a pastel male paid like 75 for him and he is a pretty decent one about a year old and almost no brown out on him.

Mine was an 09 mojave girl, Liri. I was absolutely ecstatic opening up the box, and still grin like a loon when I open up her tub.

The funny thing is, I'd planned and planned to have a cinnamon or pinstripe as my first morph - but I saw her picture and my jaw just about dropped, then bought her up without even thinking twice about it. :rolleyes:

Mine was actually a pair of Pieds. Here is a pic of my male. I plan on pairing him with my 1600g VPI Axanthic female this season for DH's

I remember when I first started exploring morphs, a year ago, I really wanted a mojave or a spider. I thought albinos were cliche and pinstripes were kind of boring at the time, but lookit me nowwwww. I now worship my albino, lol.:bow:

My first bp was a normal about 12 years ago. Then a few months ago i got a female pastel and a spider male.

I agree with the person with the pretty hair. To me, pastels, not to mention yellow bellies and fires are so similiar to normals that I wouldn't bother getting any. :colbert: But if that's what you want...

if you see the RIGHT fires and YBs they look NOTHING like normals. at first i didn't like the subtle morphs either but now they will have a welcome place in my collection, fires especially. Enchis too. A grade A enchi is in NO way a normal.

My first snake was a normal female BP, but my first morph was a spider female.

First morphs were a pair of cinnies.

My 1st morph was a male pastel from Greg Graziani. I don't think it was even a week later I then bought a female spider because I was hooked... :)

Never had a morph

I got a spider, pinstripe, pastel and cinnamon at the same time....what can i say i went a little crazy.

Albino. Felt like christmas.. :) Led to my addiction. And will soon be on the show intervention..

Mine was a pair of Citrus Ghosts.

A pair of Mojaves... But the day I got my pied was the most exciting for me.

i got my first two morphs at the same time, a female pastel, and a male spider. and congrats on getting your pinstripe and albino, they look great! :D

My first BP was a morph! I got a Lemon Pastel in the heat of the moment. I wanted a mojave, but he was sold out and kept giving me the run around on when he would have more. He had spiders, but he pulled out one of his old spiders and I didn't like the way his adults browned out. When he pulled the Lemon Pastel out, she hissed at him and I thought it was too cute.

I already have plans for my next two morphs!

My first morph was a Lesser Platinum from White Diamond Reptiles. He was the most beautiful Lesser I had ever seen. I just couldn't pass him up!

Yeah, I'm already planning too... maybe a caramel, maybe even a blue eyed leucistic... somehow.... :rolleyes:

The first morph I actually bought was a spider she happened to be the second morph I actually got though, at the time she cost me a thousand dollars and when I opened up the bag it was the ugliest animal I had laid my eyes on, ever seen a 6'1 guy cry? almost happened that day. Well needless to say she was shedding and as soon as she finished that process up I was happier than could be, and she is still by far my favorite snake!!

My first visual morph was my Spider. I had one normal and 3 het pieds before him though.

Mine was a pair of pastels. My second was a mojave. Still some of
my favorite snakes. I can't get enough of those awesome grey-green mojos.

My first was a "possible" chocolate- my first real morph was a pastel :D

WELL.

Technically I paid for the 1.1 het clowns first. So I guess they're my first "not normal" ballpythons. However, I only get them this coming weekend.

Last week I went to Montreal and grabbed my first visual morphs. A lesser and a pastel, both males. Then on Wednesday I got a pastel female. They add up quick. ;)

Can't wait to add an enchi and mojave into the mix!

My first morph was a male pastel, who I'm hoping will breed for me this season!!!! I was SUPER excited!
