    What do we have here!
ok lets start with the story. my pops was cleaning up around his shop and he found 4 eggs they were clearing off the land so i had to move them i put them in my incubator just to see what happened and give them a chance. and tonight they started to pip. i cut the eggs carefully incase they are poisonous. but what are they i live in central louisiana. going by their head they look harmless but im treating them like a black momba lol.

i don't think that's a kingsnakes head...they have more neck than they do head! but then again i've never seen one RIGHT out of the egg, so their proportions may change

OH i understand now! i thought you meant your dad was cleaning out his "snake shop" for some reason and found some random eggs!! if they're wild-caught (is it considered "catching" them while they're still in the egg, lol!) then i would say rat snake for sure.

Mayyyyybe an eastern milk but most likely a ratsnake, which covers corns as well.

Where IS Ben Biscy when you need him?

I also think a rat snake. A typical baby black rat snake will come out with a lot of patterning looking a lot like a corn or a milk snake, just darker. Pretty sure the pattern will start to fade in the next few months and you will end up with 4 nice CH:) black ratsnakes. Todd

It is either a Texas rat snake or a Slowinksi/Kisatchie corn snake.

The only venomous in central Louisiana that lay eggs are coral snakes and its not very likely that you would find their eggs due to their fossorial nature.

yep black rat. lol im not sure what i am going to do with them i guess i will try to find them a good home. they are all out of their eggs. so what i might do is if someone will pay shipping and for my shipping supplies i might hook them up with these little beauties. i hate to just put them back outside. which i might still do. lord i bet i get yelled at now lol they wated to kill me for selling my spiders cheaper than most and now i might give some snakes away. they are going to try and hang me. lol
