I have no snake owning friends

I have tons of friends and i have maintained touch with hundreds of people, now that I started college I have managed to meet a couple dozen people in three weeks, and develop 3 new friends and the rest are pretty good acquaintances.

But not a single person I know (aside from that one jerk who killed all his snakes whom I don't talk to) owns a snake.

True it's a potentially untapped market, but... you know... it's just not the same as having someone I can sit around and talk to about morphs. All I have is you guys.

Man thats sucks dude! Try to get some of your hundreds of friends into reptiles LOL Im sure a few will take a liking! I have 5 Very Good friends who are Seriously into reptiles (Go to expos & are addicted) and maybe around 10-15 who have some as pets.. I also got a few of my cousins into reptiles as well....

ive got no super local people around here either. Everyone is afraid :(

We should all hang out and just talk snakes for days. (My poor BF dosen't even understand).

I think my not owning a car may have something to do with this.

Pretty much all my close friends hated snakes until they started hanging around the house now my roomate owns one and jointly owns one with me. One of our friends bought one of our balls off of us. And another one of my friends just recently bought a baby red tail boa.

Just show your friends how friendly and fun your snakes can be and they will eventually turn to the dark side haha.

I feel your pain.

In my family I am the only one that keeps snakes, and with the exception of the people I've met from the forum at events etc I have no snake keeping friends. Then again I am also the only one with a Guinea Pig too...

I was the only one too. Then after I got one, 3 cousins and my mom got some!

I feel your pain too. I have some acquaintances that have/had snakes, but it's not the same as having friends who are into snakes. A couple friends from work are into reptiles but neither own any right now (one used to have a couple of GTPs). Mostly I babble about reptiles to my boyfriend, and he does a pretty good job of pretending to listen. :P

I do not have any friends that have reptiles either. There just seems to be no one around here that is interested in reptiles. I am so glad that I can come here and talk about snakes and such. I am always trying to talk to my boyfriend about my BP and I think he is tired of hearing me ramble, lol!

Yeah I've never met anyone who is seriously into fish and snakes like I am. It sucks, really, but I've gotten used to it.

My friends are all too broke to buy snakes lol. I don't think they really care about them anyway, I had to practically drag my BEST FRIEND to come see my Hondurans (which I thought were just the coolest thing EVER). Yea it sucks when everyone around you is completely apathetic to your passion.

i have lots of friends that are haters.
some that try to understand it.
some that want them.
but when it comes to true friends i dont have many that actually have snakes.

The only friends that understand my passion for reptiles are the friends I made (mainly) through this forum over the past couple of years. :gj:
