    Tatoo Cut?
What happens if you get a cut on your Tat? Do you have to go get it touched up when healed?

If it's a deep deep cut than yes. I've had a few of mine scratched heavily and cut some pretty bad and they were fine.

    Maybe.

I was in the fully extended bucket of a Kabota, at the top of a 16' extension ladder cutting a huge oak tree limb.
I tied a tag line to the limb and had 2 guys that were supposed to be pulling on the rope.
You can probably guess what happened...
As I finished cutting the limb and it began to fall, the 2 guys let go of the rope.
The limb fell right on the controls of the tractor and began tilting the bucket foward, dumping the extension ladder that I was on.
Before they could pull the limb off of the controls the ladder slid out of the bucket.
I managed to drop the brand new 22" chainsaw that I was holding, and wrapped my arms around the tree.
I slid down the tree about 14' until I hit a "Y" and then fell another 10' and landed flat on my back.

I was seeing floaters and had the wind knocked slightly out of me.
However, I jumped up and gave the guys a :gj: , picked up the chainsaw and cut the limb that had fallen onto the controls in half so that we could pull it off of the tractor.
    Then it was break time...lol.
(The boss was not very impressed that I had thrown his new chainsaw, or that the limb had fallen onto his fairly new tractor.)

Anyway, sliding down the live oak completely shredded my right forearm.
You could barely see my ink. It had a very thick scab as it healed and I was sure my piece was gone.
To my surprise, once the scab came off my tattoo was fine.

I would suggest getting some of those butterfly bandages (I think that's the name, the tiny ones that have 2 adhesive ends and one thin inner section) and putting them on to hold it together (which is what they are for) then throw some neosporin on and put a larger bandage over the entire thing. This will reduce the size of the scar and stop it from fanning up or worming (as I like to call it when you have a deep enough cut that ends up with all the small lines on it like the segments on a worm).

But yeah, butterfly bandages, neosporin, and a larger bandage, this should turn any scar into a pencil thin line.

If it's bad enough to leave a scar, then yes.

Tatted out? Not really lol.. Compared to a lot of guys i know, thats barely anything lol... Now when you have sleeves and so many tattoos that you can't be naked anymore, IS when you're "Tatted Out" LOL

And about the tattoos... Depends on what kind of cut? Like a straight slice, a chunk of flesh, or a scrape? I have two prison tattoos (Done with a needle and ink), and i've fallen off my bike and gotten cuts of them, and they are fine.. Generally, if you scrape over the tat, it wont cut deep enough to scrape out any ink... If you get a straight slice it most likely wont show too much, and if you get a chunk cut out, then yea, you will need it touched up...

No he wasn't necessarily in prison to get prison tats.

I think all you need is a pen and a needle and you can do prison tats.

I've never been to prison.. I've been to juvie for a month.. But i won't get into that.. But thats not when i got them... I did them at home... I used just a needle and India Ink... I dont regret doing them.. Not many people can handle slowly pushing ink into their skin with a needle... I did it mainly for me.. To prove to myself i could handle something like that... I did them when i was 13... Last summer.. I'll try to get pics up later.

Also, I'm very into tattooing, and have my own Homemade (Almost Professional) Tattoo Guns, and True Professional (Store Bought) Tattoo Guns... Im going to be buying a new tattoo gun soon...

NEVER use a pen ink! I've heard bad things about it... In prison, they burn paper with a lighter and mix the ash with water to make an ink... At home, you can pick up a small bottle of "India Ink" which is great for tattoos...

You are a clueless child. They're machines not guns. It's people like yourself that are ruining the tattoo industry and making it look bad. Sell your "guns" and stick with school.

    Re: Tatoo Cut?
my father and my girlfriends older brother are covered with them. My father just got out of prison last week and he got into some fights and cut up some but his are fine. My girlfriends older brother was cleaning a gun a year ago and the gun went off and shot him in the arm and that did mess his sleeve up but he redid it this year and touched it up.

Also employers are starting to lighten up about tattoos. I see tats pretty much everywhere I go now. I see them on cops, lawyers, doctors.

It's good to know these things. I thought I had gotten a good gash on mine while at work, but when I looked, the cut was just below it. Close!

I'm getting another one on the other shoulder as soon as I can afford it.

But to answer your question. It really depends on how big/deep the cut is. If its small, doesnt require stitches, & you butterfly it good for a couple days, it should leave little to no scar. Probably will not need touching up.

If its a gaping cut that wont close up and seal on its own it will leave a noticable scar. Some scars can be touched up but the color is almost never exactly the same in a scar as it is in the surrounding skin.

My tattoo artist refuses to tatt over a large surgical scar i have on my leg. He said it most likely will run under the skin and look blurred and faded. Not to mention the extreme nerve pain it would cause, meaning i probably couldnt sit still or prevent my leg from jumping around lol!

LOL They also use piss to write notes to each other... It dries invisible, but when you run a lighter over it a little the urine turns brown and you can see the message...
