Re: Natasha laid her eggs
Congrats Derek, they look fantastic and momma looks good too considering.
No doubt she'll be back up in no time. :)
Good luck on the half-veined egg as well.

I'm still waiting on an Ovulation... :P
They can breed all year round. ;)
Re: Natasha laid her eggs
Hi,
Well I didn't cool anyone down this year so their only cues would be from the notorious scottish weather.
But so far mine always seem to go later than most other peoples even in the UK.
Cooling or light manipulation or not they always seem to lay in the back end of the year - though my normal male Herman was breeding anything he could get his tail around since last december if memory serves. He does seem to have stopped in the last month or so though so I guess my season is over. :)
Now I just have to wait on everything hatching. :taz:
Cleo's eggs are on day 43 so not long now. Which is a bit of a problem as I haven't built the hatchling accomodation yet.

Re: Natasha laid her eggs
congrats Dr. Del!!! What was she paired with?
Re: Natasha laid her eggs
Hi,
Well she locked a lot with the normal male and, though I put the male lesser in with her on numerous occasions, I never did catch them doing anything.
The same was true of Cleo's clutch so I may get a hint of the daddy in two weeks or so.

Congrats, Derek! Hoping for lessers for you!!
Re: Natasha laid her eggs
Congrats on the eggs! I usually offer food 3 days after laying as they seem pretty wore out initially afterward. What was she bred to?

Thanks folks,
She has already had a medium F/T mouse about three hours ago. :)
I always like to give them a small meal after laying to get the digestive juices flowing without straining them - then she will still be hungry in 5 days or so when I'm happy everything is working as it should and offer a small rat. :gj:
Daddy is probably the normal male but , just possibly, the lesser platinum.
I'm just happy neither female that laid this year tried to bite me at all and only hissed a few times. :snake:
I'm hoping it is my habit of opening the tubs every morning and giving everyone a little rub on the back then closing them again. By the time they realised something different was happening this time I had them off the eggs and halfway to the holding tub. :ninja: :P
