Is That a WiFi Antenna on your Phone!?

Yes, Yes it is! Early in the week I dropped my phone and some how managed to damage the internal antenna. Well I am happy to report that I did find and purchase a replacement BUT I had to wait a week before I received it and frankly I couldn't be without my phone for a whole week, so I took matters into my own hands.


Building Materials:
Silver Based Solder (Boy do I miss Lead Based Solder)
Sewing Needle with Tip cut off
Unused Wifi Antenna.

The sad part is I actually get BETTER signal now than I did before. The picture of the signal was taken in my room which I usually don't get more than 1 bar!!!

Thats just genius. I love tinkerers. I actually consider myself quite the tinkerer.

I have a history of messing with electronics. I hacked my Motorola Razr 7 different ways to sunday. :D

unfortunately you have to anymore. neutered phones stink! heck some companies even lock the max volume to lower than the factory.

It's not as bad as you would think. I haven't received my phone yet, so I haven't decided whether or not to retire this one.

lol hey if it works why fix it lol.. I know my phone is over 2 old and I just had the data moved to one my buddy had ( he got one that was bigge causehe can't txt on the one ( whic hwas only 3 months old ) and i using it still outside th annoying phonecalls to upgrade my phone I am happy. I don't txt aI don't use it for anythign other than calling. I look at it as this way if i want to txt I use the computer same for pics, downloads and all. I got the phone to recieve calls in regards to snake removals and such not to do everything else ( that what the laptop for and wifi when not home )
