why would he do this?
You were probably upsetting him so he bit you no matter how tame a snake is he has teeth and can bite always be prepared.
Re: my bp just bit my pit
but he actually latched on... if I had let him I think he would have wrapped around my arm... it wasn't a defensive bite

Re: my bp just bit my pit
but should I feed him again or something... he has never bit me just randomly

It happens. Feed your snake an appropriate food item once every week, or once every other week.
Appropriate prey size is generally ( though not specifically) As wide as the widest part of the snakes body.
Re: my bp just bit my pit
:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:
we have to see pics of that
Re: my bp just bit my pit
If he seems extra hungry to you, it's okay to toss him an extra meal here and there. It's not against the law.
Thanks for that amusing mental image LOL.
Re: my bp just bit my pit
snakes bite and your pits are probably one of the hottest things on your body. it saw a heat signature and latched on.

Maybe your pit hair "looked" like a mouse stuck up there...
Re: my bp just bit my pit
Snakes can bite, usually they're is a reason though. Your arm pit can get a smell to it and generate a good bit of body heat, for the ball python this looked like potential food.
I would just keep feeding him once a week, an appropriate sized item(I would not feed every 2 weeks like one of the guys on page 1 stated).
Just make sure the meal is as big around as the biggest part of your bp.
Re: my bp just bit my pit
i know cats confuse the natural smell of armpits with that of their moms teet. maybe the snake wanted to suckle some milk :8: ha
