my bp just bit my pit
and I am not talking about the type of dog.... he was on my lap while I was watching tv then bam he latched on to my arm pit, I mean I know it's a little hairy but I am pretty sure it doesn't smell like a rodent, and I just fed him two days ago

    why would he do this?

You were probably upsetting him so he bit you no matter how tame a snake is he has teeth and can bite always be prepared.

but he actually latched on... if I had let him I think he would have wrapped around my arm... it wasn't a defensive bite

It happens. Feed your snake an appropriate food item once every week, or once every other week.

Appropriate prey size is generally ( though not specifically) As wide as the widest part of the snakes body.

If he seems extra hungry to you, it's okay to toss him an extra meal here and there. It's not against the law.

Thanks for that amusing mental image LOL.

Snakes can bite, usually they're is a reason though. Your arm pit can get a smell to it and generate a good bit of body heat, for the ball python this looked like potential food.

I would just keep feeding him once a week, an appropriate sized item(I would not feed every 2 weeks like one of the guys on page 1 stated).

Just make sure the meal is as big around as the biggest part of your bp.
