    Surprising shed!
She was just in blue a day or two ago, and then last night her eyes cleared, and now this morning when I woke up I went over to her enclosure and noticed she had shed sometime during the night. I am so excited that this happened. She used to be a LAZY snake and would just make me do the shedding for her, but I can't even believe she did it on her own! She also used to be in shed for over a week, but this took like 6 days. Here are some pics of the shed, and some pics of her that I took this morning and this afternoon.

Here are the ones I took when I got home

    Cool,

Good job checking for the shed eyecaps as well - far easier than trying to squint lovingly into the snakes eyes to see if they are clear.

If you try that with any of mine they stick their tongues up your nose and make you sneeze. :weirdface

I wish mine shed that nicely! Don't get me wrong, they always shed all in one piece and I'm thankful for that, but it's like a rolled-up sock: nothing pretty to look at. :(

I bet her "laziness" at shedding had less to do with her being lazy, and more to do with the lights that you used on your tank before you switched her to a tub set-up.

Now that you have her in an enclosure that's easier to control humidity, you get a perfect shed! :D

When did I say that? Lol. I will be moving to tubs sometime during the year but first I'm just trying to get everything together (especially a thermostat!) then I'm going to switch over to tubs.

Your snake was not being lazy.
    Your husbandry was wrong.
A snake not sheeding on it's own is an indicator that you are not doing your part to maintain proper humidity.
Congratulations on your humidity being at a more appropriate level.

Well it's hard for me to maintain humidity because I live in a hot and dry area so it's difficult to maintain it at the correct level, so that's why this time I provided a humid hide which she never went in but still had a good shed.

I un roll the shed and look at them. Just a thing I have to do. lol. But none of my snakes skins have that much pattern left on them. I mean they have a pattern but its half of the contrast you see in that one.

Normally it stayed at 60%-65% or higher. Though, most of the time it was between 60%-65%
